Help!!!!

I just had the alpine w200 dvd installed and it isn't flush. it sticks out about 1/4 inch. The installer said it was as good as it would get. Did he use the wrong bracket? I;ve searched and the only ones I've found are the metra 99-5807 and 82-5601, does anyone know wich one is correct to make it sit flush??? I't a small thing but it bugs me, thanks, Brad.

I used the original brackets off of my shaker 1000 head unit and measured the install myself to get my PIONEER AVD 6800 flush mounted. I had to JB Weld the brackets to the new head unit but I got a perfect flush mount.

ill post upi the model number i used later tonight when i get home. First kit i had, same issue. Second kit and it fits perfect. No modifications are needed, just the correct mounting bracket. I used the kit for the f-150, not sure if that will help or not.

I will tell you this, I never got mine COMPLETELY flush. When I got it flush the top would hit the frame and not let it open to insert a CD/DVD. The top sticks out a bit but no where near a 1/4". I installed and re-installed the brackets until I got it close enough to flush but the door would still open without clipping the frame.
Now I mean the HU isn't flush, the faceplate is flush, just the top of the HU sticks out slightly. I leave the HU face in tilt position one anyway, so it is never noticeable until the power is off, then I am not in there anyway

99-5807 is what i used (or says so on the reciept). I had the same issue as OKC, but I hept messing with it and got it perfect. took a few tries of pulling it, but in the end it came out perfect. I cant see any gaps and if i run my finger over it, feels pretty even.
