Looking for options on a good GPS system for a 2005+ Mustang, indash or not. I know *nothing* about radio instillation, so any instillation beyond plugging it in will have to be done by a 3rd party.
I know I don't have a 2005+ 'Stang yet, but its never too early to know your options! I'm shooting for a 2007 Mustang GT.

Warbird69,
I went to the extreme and put a car computer in my car. It has touch screen, xm radio, GPS system, and can play my mp3 files and movies. I’m still trying to integrate my blue tooth cell phone, but haven’t completed that yet. See my link to my install.

a possibly cheaper and easier for not so handy can be the following setup:
a PDA (I have axim x30) - you can get used for way under $200 now
a GPS software - you can get one for $90 - 100 (I use iGuidance)
a GPS antenna (I got Haicom BT) - you can get one for under $100
a powered PDA holder with amplified speaker needed to hear directions (PDA speakers are not that loud) - you can get one for $40-50 (I use arkon)
Total is about 400-450.
Another benefit is that you can move this setup between cars, take it with you while hiking, use it for geo caching and even on your trips to europe (you'll need additional software for europe - $100).
In addition PDa can be used for browsing web, reading books, keeping a calendar and many, many other things.

My neighbor just got a Magellian for his new Magnum.

It's like the Never Lost used in Hertz Rent-A-Cars, (I used in Portand OR and never opened a map, went to Salem OR and up to Ocean Shores WA) but it's moveable from car to car. Garmin is another well known brand in automotive/plane/boat/motorcycle GPS. http://www.rated4stars.com/html/garmin-str...340-gps-re.html
