first pics of cupholder bezel insert for cell phone, soda cans etc>>
i just got the first batch of the cupholder bezel inserts in from the platers...
all will be silver anodized as chrome will get too scratched up with the abuse these can see. the silver looks great with both the chrome and silver bezels we make anyway. i have laser engraved black anodized billet aluminum floor inserts and then epoxy domed them to protect the logos. they give these inserts a REALLY cool look. almost makes you want to not put anything in them
remember these are the LARGER of the 2 pieces i am making. they are designed to put into the FRONT hole of the MGW bezel to accomadate a soda can and or cell phone keys etc. we are also making a much lower profile "coin tray" that will pop into the front hole as well. i do not see the need to buy both pieces unless you just want to keep the coin tray in for looks and use the soda can holder only when needed. the coin trays should be in next week.
here are some pics...

Those look great, but won't you have a hard time seeing over the soda can when you're driving?
Seriously, I have the cupholder bezel, and don't use it, because it no longer allows me to hold cups.
While these are a sweet looking attempt at fixing the problem, having the drink sit even higher isn't the way to go, in my opinion.
With a 5 speed, the cupholder's are already a bit annoying, stock.
I think you should consider re-designing the bezel, so that it attaches to the slanted part of the cupholders, and has the same insert size as stock.
Then you would have the good looks combined with functionality.
That being said, I may consider the coin holder.
I just don't think I'd enjoy knocking my drink all over my shifter boot when I have to hit 3rd gear.

i completely agree and the main intention of this insert is for duty on trips when you are crusing down the road and your passenger needs a cupholder. if you are alone you would not need both holes so you can easily put your drink in the back holder. also if you have an auto this does not come into play so this option may appeal to them even more so.
again the main idea of this is to remove unless in use. it simply falls into place. i hear what you are saying on the design to make it on the sloped part but the issue there is that the dash is actually not flat and any billet piece will not sit flush and look hokey.

I see what you mean.
Thanks for taking my post in the way it was intended.
You do great work, and in my opinion no one else comes close.
UPR gets mentioned a lot, but their stuff isn't even in the same league.
I'm definitely tempted to get the coinholder, it would go well with all the other stuff I have of yours.

no problem. i really never get offended by criticism because it always gets me thinking harder the coin trays are really nice and i think alot of people will choose to keep them in place all the time. these will more than likely be used only when needed.

George, Do these accessories fit only the 2nd Generation cup holder bezel? Also, I have one of your cup holder bezels on order, but they are currently backordered. Do you know how soon more will be available?

these will work on both gens of the MGW cupholder bezel but will not work if you do not have our bezel.

Idea for a new item you guys can offer...
I think you guys should make a piece that completly replaces the window switch plates. I think these would look great in the silver finish. Now remember I'm saying a complete replacement not a cheap piece that just get's 3m over the top of it. Below is a pic of mine that I painted myself. Even though I've done this I'd still buy this item if you guys made it.
Quick head count....who here would buy the item I'm suggesting if MGW made it. If you'd buy a set say just put a +1,2,3 and so on.

I'm sure it would be a ..... to make out of billet but it would sell which is the important part.
