I just installed a new JVC head unit and what I found is that the only part of the factory Sirius system that will still be usable will be the antenna. you will have to take the yellow adapter off of it but after that it will fit right into the aftermarket Sirius adapter for your new unit. In my case and I'm pretty sure in all others as well, you will have to buy the Sirius connect package for your model of tuner and also the Sirius converter for your system. The Sirius connect package comes with an antenna but I just stuck it in a drawer in case I need it in the future. I hope this helps.
