Anyone know how to get more legroom from a driver's seat (motorized)? Can the motor limits be changed, or is there a kit to shift the whole seat 1 or 1 1/2 inches back?

How tall are you??? I'm 5'11 and and weigh 280. I fit just fine. My seat could go back another 2 or 3 inches if I wanted to.

I was going to ask the same question Route 66.

I'm 6'6" and 350lbs and have no room issues what so ever.

Hey Desoter,
Looks like you and I both need to find ways to shed weight on the stang just to keep up with others.

6'2" and no problem with legroom except my left knee brushes the back of the steering wheel when using the clutch. Have the steering wheel all the way up, and have tried seat at different heights and angles.

I noticed that the manual seat goes back farther - about another 1" at least.

Anybody tried adjusting the motorized seat beyond factory limits?

one thing i noticed is if you lift the seat up or down or angle it you will get more room. im only 5'11 and i keep my seat as low as it will go tilted forward and i dont have to slid it all the way back. oh its the power seat too. if i raise the front of the seat and lower the back i have to bring the seat forward about 3 more inches to reach the pedels lol then i feel like im going to eat the windshield

It's a shame the pedals aren't adjustable like some of the other cars. Billet pedals mounted with spacers would work for short people. Take into account the thickness of the discarded stock rubber pads (1/4") and the thickness of the new pedals to make your calculations for some spacers.
I adjust the seat to the clutch pedal and I find it goes down a little too far. I wish the travel was a tad shorter for comfort and performance. It feels like I'm driving a truck sometimes.

yeah i can see what he is saying tho, im 5'9'' and i drive with the seat all the way back.. i originally drove like ontop of the steering wheel, but not only is that dangerous in case of an accident, but not nessiary. its my first car, not to mention first manual so i just recently realized that you dont have to push the clutch to the floor to change gears... and so if i can drive with the seat alll the way back, *power seats* then i guess a 6'6'' guy might have some trouble

Won't the clutch prematurely wear out if you don't push it in all the way when shifting? Just wondering?

It depends. If the clutch is completely disengaged before the pedal reaches the floor, it won't be a problem. There is probably a relatively easy way to test this.
