Does the radio on the 05 come sirius compatable? I know ford has a deal on explorers where you get a free one-year subscription with sirius, but I haven't heard anything about the new mustang.

I think I hear Grantsdale approaching....
Seriously though, everyone's talking about how to install the XM/Sirius antennae and whatnot, so I presume you need that little extra box gadget. (we don't have XM here, they decided on the crap known as DAB instead...so bear with me, I've only seen a Sirius radio once.)

We were told by our dealer in South Jersey that they will be installing Sirius on our '05 GT when it comes in. We currently have Sirius with docking cradles in each of our vehicles. The Kenwood Plug & Play units we use have either a cassette adapter to play audio through the cassette deck or a built in FM modulator broadcasting through frequencys 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, and 88.7.
Pics of the dealer installed unit and details when we get the car. (Should be at the dealership Thursday)

Sarasota Ford is installing Sirius in 2005 Mustangs for $399, but they didn't indicate that the price included a subscription. I had Best Buy install Sirius and they used the FM frequency method and I constantly got interference from the FM signals regardless of what frequency I chose. I was told by Sirius tech support that if your car has an auxiliary port that you should use it, but I was told by Ford that tying ANYTHING into the Aux port (Shaker 1000. I don't know if other flavors have an aux port) will void the warranty. Just food for thought.

Nothing like having a AUX port whose purpose is to void the warranty.
Customer: What can I plug into the aux port?
Salesperson: Nothing.
Customer: Nothing?? What is it there for then??
Salesperson: It's there to void the warranty.
Hooboy.
