OK, here is an Easter Egg for you.

With your radio ON (FM/AM modes only), press and hold your preset stations #3 and #6 simultaneously. After about a second, "speaker walkaround" and diag mode comes up!

Full details in the attached PDF.

This has been a Ford corporate trick for years. I used to play around with it in the Villagers of the early nineties.

If you just found it, good for you. But it's not a secret. Almost all ford's radios do this.

Since it isn't documented in owners manual, I thought I'd pass it along.

In fact, MOST of the facts that people find on this site aren't SECRET. The purpose of this site is to pass along information that is otherwise hard to find. If you have a problem with that, then you are probably on the wrong board.

Swingle-
It really sounds like Ford has some TSBs coming on the Shaker. Have you brought it back to the dealer?

Hammy- I didn't mean to sound so heavy handed, you probably didn't either.

I thank you for the tip, I'll be on it tomorrow!

I've only had the occasional skip of a CD, whether store-bought or self-burnt. But, hopefully that too can be eliminated eventually.

Thanks, I played around with this and now I have a question. For those that have the Shaker 500 what did it display for the subwoofers? During the speaker walkaround I noticed that it only displayed subwoofer 1 which was the driver side. Shouldn't subwoofer 2 be the passenger side
