Paul,

I want to get these chrome handles, but your 1 800 number is no good up here. Is there a regular number I can use?

Cheers

I had the door handle assembly out when I was doing my LED mod and it didn't look too difficult. You have to remove the door panel though.

It's a carbon fiber dash kit that is made to go over the air bag and is split into two pieces so the bag will deploy. But I see how some stupid person might think otherwise ...

Well, "Living on the wild side" is pretty much why we have these cars. Some of us just have a bit more creativity and express that through our mods. I would like to think that everything we know and love was once reckless abandon in pursuit of MORE. Come to think of it...the internal combustion engine is an insane concept I truly love. Rock on with your bad self!

Hello,

I did a Little Disecting on these and The Handle Itself has the Same Id Number on it . So With a Little Work you Can Pull the Handle out of the Taurus Housing and Get her to go. Pics Coming Up!

Here is a Completed Handle and the Taurus Housing it Came out of. The Key to Removing the Handles From the Housing is to Have the Handle Pulled to the Opening Position. There is a Limiting Stop that needs to Be Lifted in order to Get the Handle in the Proper position to Remove. The Housings have Slotted Pins so it is Critical the Handles are removed the Way they were installed at the Factory. Btw if you pull the Handles to the Full Open Position and Lift up the Limiting Strap before Removing the Return Spring it will shoot out so be Carefull!

Those chromed parts just make me think of 3rd degree blisters in the sun.

There are a lot of pieces in my car I would rather them be chrome as opposed to the satin silver. In the classic Mustangs the only thing with the satin aluminum finish was just the flat appliques on the dash and center console. Everything else was chromed like the surrounding accent trim and hardware. It would be nice to have the chrome door handles and the chrome auto shifter lever... Maybe even chrome steering wheel spokes... I do like the touches of chrome I do have on the circular vents, radio ***** and even the engine start button...

I ordered my GT without the IUP because I do not like chrome or shiny surfaces on the interior. My 1981 T-bird came from the factory with chrome on everything and I hated that because of all the burns I get in the summer.

Are these plastic handle or metal/billet chromed?

I also have been searching for stock appearance but chromed billet. I know SHR was going to make some newly designed ones but Marcello said the demand was not great enough to justify it. I personally just do not like the cutouts on his current design.
