Think this will block out the AMBIENT LIGHTING option?

Nope. Actually, I think it'd be better, because you'd see the glow instead of the light source.

It does look pretty good but I cannot use the chrome piece. In the summertime, you cannot touch it because it gets too hot. What do you think that does to your cold beverage? Yeah.....

Hey Willie,

Don't know what you're talking about. Up here in WI never have an issue with the thing getting hot. If it did, we would probably huddle around it.

I bought that part last summer and installed it that night. Drove it to work the following morning. Got in the car at lunch time and touched the bezel... yeow, was it searing..... I put my plastic water bottle in it and thought the plastic was going to melt.... Typical for these parts though. Same thing happens to the shifter **** and steering wheel to different degrees, depending on what they're made of. Easy for in-car temps to rise above 150 within 10 minutes of parking it. That's why people get citations here for leaving animals in unattended cars.... and that's why black cars are very rare here.

I only allow water......

Any takers on the bezel? I forgot I bought the darn thing until a couple of days ago when I saw this post.

That is why Silverhorse uses velcro on the bezel...Summertime heat? Just drop it in the glove box...

No big deal...

I had 2004 mach1...left it bone stock...the shifter it came with would BLISTER your hand in the summer (NY tri state)...literally undriveable fo 20 mins for the AC to blast on it....another positive in choosing the AUTOMATIC this time around....
