Cheesy? Opinions

Well, I am getting ready to put on my side window louvers. A lot of places sell the vinyl black out tint, so you don't see the inside of the louvers. I was going to make my own panel. I did 2 mock ups, one with the mustang seat cloth and one with a leather or vinyl and a fender emblem in the middle. Would it look cheesy or alright. Of course I would hope the actual finished product will look a lot better. Just figured I would try something different.

If you want the window covered, then that looks pretty good.

Well, I have the CDC louvers which totally block out the window, so I figured instead of just having a piece of vinyl there, why not make something that will actually add to the interior. Which do you think looks better. The cloth or the Vinyl? Since the cloth will match my seats, I am kind of leaning towards it.

I'm not sure about the cloth with the Mustang lettering, but I'd match the seats, if you have leather go with that, if you have cloth, perhaps the solid material from the sides? Either way though, I think it is a great idea.

I don't like the cloth one, but the vinyl/leather one is definitely !!

Since I have a 'Vert and don't have the quarter windows like you do - I have a question: would blocking the window like that make a bigger blind spot or does it really matter?

What exactly did you make these out of? Besides the fabrics of course...

The CDC louvers totally block out the window. The ones I have are solid, so I won't be able to see out the windows anyway. I can't really see out the windows now and they are uncovered.

I got a piece of thin fiberglass for the back. Cut it to the shape. Shaved some seat foam for the inside, wrap it leather and glue to the backside. I will post some pics, especially the finished product. Should have it all done by tomorrow.

match the cloth seats you have, the cloth looks way cool with the designs on it. Nice looking if you want to cover the windows, good luck

Well, here is the one that I have been working on the last few hours. This one is not finished, I still have to tighten up the edges so they are nice and smooth all the way around. I still need to get a new set of emblems to put on as well, this one is just held on with 3m.
