center console power outlet options

Is there an easy way to set the power outlet in the center console to only be active with the ingnition on?
I have a Sirius radio that I have plugged in there, and want it to power on/off with the key.
any help is appreciated.
TIA

You'll have to cut the current power source wire and splice it to a line that is ignition controlled. Beyond that... Sorry. Someone else should be able to give you more detail... There are a lot of diy guys here.

I was afraid that would be the case...it's never simple is it? I've had other vehicles where you could just move a fuse to make an outlet active with the ingnition. I was hoping that would be the case here...oh well...time to get out the wire strippers I guess.
Thanks

I've seen a number of people using "add a circuit" fuse box plugs to power additional accessories in their cars... If you can find an empty fuse opening that is powered while car is on only you can run a line from that to your power outlet. Just give yourself enough cord to cut the original connection and connect the new.

Tap the PRND321 for pos and the power port for neg. That's what I did for OEM ambient lights and they work great and turn off when key removed.
