Carbon fiber vent trim rings?

I'd like to get rid of the chrome looking plastic trim rings on the vents and was wondering if there are carbon fiber ones to replace/cover them?

I'm not a fan of overlays, and making a mold for the vents is doable but labor intensive (especially for mass production). For parts like this, I recommend (and have used) this process with great results. Not cheap, and you'll have to endure some lead time, but worth it IMO.

Just a thought.

Like wise they have done numerous parts for my F-150. Here is an example.

I wish there was some sort of overlay or replacement. I would love to get rid of all the chrome in the interior and keep to my interior highlights of Grabber Orange. Perhaps someday some will make something.

So do you just send this place the parts and they paint them and send them back?

They actually dip your parts, and then clearcoat to finish. I am working wiht them at this time on a project for the Mustang I own.

They do a process that is called Hydro-Graphics. They clean your piece completely then paint it what ever base color you want then dip the product into the hydro tank and it applies laminate type product over the part. (This is how camouflaged guns and such get there coating same process). Then they remove it and apply an automotive clear coat.

If you go to the site you can see all the colors and such they offer. My pictures above are Black Carbon Fiber

06GT4RAD those parts look really good.

Anyone ever removed these rings? I hate to just pry on one to see how easy they come off. To those who have used www.phoenix-image.com do you think they could do just the rings if these are one piece units?

BTW this kind of exchange of info is what makes this site so great!

This is why I didn't get the interior upgrade even though I wanted the message center. Oh well, at least I don't have a lot of shiny stuff that I just don't like.

If i am not mistaken the chrome trim ring simply pull off. If you email PI tell them what you have and they will let you know if it is possible. There may be some extra cost involved if they have to first remove the chrome finish since i am not sure they can apply the finish over it.

They do not list prices because each piece is different that is why you have to contact them They will want the measurements of the item to be covered.
