This was an easy and very cheap mod. Anyone that finds the mod and likes it will get a banana!!! LOL

 

The chrome strip at the bottom of the aluminum on the dash? Looks pretty good to me.

 

Pic is grainy, but something's hanging from the mirror, and something's in the cupholder...?

 

I can't make it out, but it's gotta be whats in the cupholder......yes???

 

Actually believe it or not, even though someone had already said it I spotted it instantly. You purchased one of those $100 chrome tail light trim kits off of ebay , straightened it out, and put it along the bottom edge of your aluminum dash.

LOL Yeap its the Chrome strip. I created this topic because no one has ever figured it out such as my wife, father, friends, etc. I guess thats a good thing as it must look original which is what I like in a mod. Something that looks good and not cheap or flashy.

Well, if your looking at the pictures from my website that is a ashtray in the cupholder that I bought from autozone. Its mostly used for keys, loose money and somewhere to throw a cigarette in the event I ever get pulled over.

I like it, David. I picked it out instantly because I've been spending a lot of time staring at my dash, trying to figure out where to put my XM Radio controller.

No worries about it keeping the airbag from deploying on the passenger side? I know it's only a thin piece, but it's mounted on the door hinge of the air bag compartment. Maybe you should disable the passenger air bag. Or am I worrying too much?

Definitely nice touch though. Plays well off of the chrome rings around the vents!
