BrandMotion IPOD Interface Installed!!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...uff/Header.jpg

Just got done installing the Brandmotion IPOD interface was on my vehicle. Bought it from KC (05stangkc) at a great deal! Thank you KC!! $199 shipped!

Anyone looking for the best IPOD hookup for your 2005+ Mustang with stock headunit, this is the kit to get!! This kit is made by brandmotion, sold by ford dealers! This is a direct hard wired kit for your IPOD, no FM transmitter!

This kit was meant for my 2005 Mustang GT with my shaker system, but since I inquired a 2007 Focus, I decided to put it in my focus since its my everyday car and the mustang rides on the weekends. The install of this unit was a BREEZE!!!! 15 min total on the focus! Once again this kit will work on ANY Ford Vehicle with or without satellite radio that has the Shaker look alike headunit. Doesn't matter if its a single disc, shaker 500 or shaker 1000, it works!! It works great! It does what it says. You control the ipod directly from your headunit, displays the ipod information, and charges it!! No drilling at all required!! Sound quality is great!!!

10 out of 10 rating!!

Jon and Jeff @ BrandMotion created a great kit and is by far the best!

*EDIT*

Error on Posting, this is not the Ford TripTunes Advance Kit. Brandmotion kit is completely separate from the TripTunes Kit. Total misunderstanding from the company when the first posted. This is just a BrandMotion Kit!

Is this for iPod's only? Will it work with a Zune?

So does this kit allow you to control (scroll through songs, etc.) from the Ipod itself as well as the radio? The one I had only allowed control the radio which could be a real pain at times trying to scroll through hundreds of songs, so if this one lets you control it either through the radio or through the ipod itself it will be perfect for me.

it wont let you scroll (like if you were playing a song, you press menu on the ipod and you can scroll turning the **** or circle on the ipod itself to find your next song). you can select your playlists or put the entire ipod itself on shuffle. you can also select the (artist, album) itself through the up and down button control, and then once you find the (artist, album), you hit the seek button and it will seek through all the songs by the artist or album you selected.

I'm betting your thinking of the "peripherial" iPod hook up. It was first released for all 2005+ mustangs, but after lots of evidence of causing dash warning light failures, they pulled it off the market. Only recently have they re-released a "fixed" version.

The Brandmotion one was released at some point in the last 2 or 3 months. It is a bit more money, but works the same way as the peripherial one.

No I went to their website and looked at the application charts and all radios for 05 (4R3Txxxxx) and early 06 (5R3Txxx) are not listed as compatible..

I just bought an FRD04-AUX adapter because I was just recently informed that this iPod adapter would not be compatible with my 2005, and although the one I purchased works really well; I really wanted this one because of it's ability to control the iPod from the head unit as opposed to the iPod itself.

I'm gonna be pretty disappointed if this adapter is in fact compatible.

I understand that it's cool to plug and play with any IPOD, but for me, its so simple to toss on 200 songs per CD. That's 1200 songs. I cant imagine needing more.

Let me know how the FRD04_AUX works for you. I'm thinking this is the best option for me. (low cost)

I've had it for about a month now and it does it's job well. The installation was pretty basic and took about an hour; from there I picked up an audio cable that plugs into my iPod's headphone jack and runs beneath the center console and plugs into the audio left & right jacks built into the FRD04-AUX.

The downside is that you control everything via the iPod and have no text display which the BrandMotion unit allows you to do. In terms of audio quality, it's crystal clear and the ability to have your music library at your fingertips is also quite nice.

I just installed the Brand motion unit in my 06 and let me say i like it sofar. I didn't use the glovebox holder I ran mine back to the console and I am using the tissue holder to hold my touch. I have a DLO neporene case that has the belt clip and it slides in the tissue holder and the clip keeps it in place by running the two tabs between the clip and the back of the case. the wire is out if the way and I don't have to worrk about anything banging against my touch.

bee bop I installed mine today too, and so far it works great! I thought about putting the holder in the same place but opted to put it in the glove box, for now at least.

I have a question you guys who have installed might be able to answer. Can you plug and unplug your ipod with the ignition/auxilary still on? Or do you have to shut the radio or car power off first.

I ask because you can't just unplug an iPOD from your computer without first "ejecting" it. I'm curious if the same applies with this adapter setup.

Thanks

Its OK to disconnect your iPod without powering anything off. You dont have to go through the "ejecting" iPod like you do with your computer. While connected the iPod displays the Brandmotion logo and "OK to disconnect"
Hope that helps
