What'd that run you?

Anyone in the South Florida area want to do an even swap - the IUP vents for the standard black ones?

$40 shipped. I had several offers to swap, but I wanted to keep the original ones.

I swapped out for the black ones awhile back. Told KC (Kevin) what I wanted and he hooked me up with the cheapest route. 2 x centers panels with black vents. I then quick changed them in about 5 min.

Yeah, he tried to sell me the same set-up, but I didn't see any point in buyimg whole panels when all I wanted was the vents.

Do you happen to have contact info. for those offers?

I think I would like to do this swap, and I really don't care to keep my silver vents.

Anyone want to trade their black vents for IUP vents?

Sorry guys. I deleted those PM's long ago.
I'd start a thread in the Wanted/For Sale section of every Mustang website I could find.
The swap was pretty popular back when IUP was in short supply and a lot of people were buying the aftermarket stick-on dash panels.

I just got finished doing this swap. I posted in the For Sale/Wanted section of this site and had a guy wanting to swap within 1 day.

I like the black better, and he likes his silver ones.

No, I did not mean shipping cost, I meant the cheapest and best way to get a set of black ones in my car. Your post 27 will work though...thanks

I did the same thing accept with a non-IUP GT. We both like the look afterwards.

So when you swap these out, do the chrome rings stay with the assembly, or does it all have to be taken apart?

Thanks Stangnut... I just called the local Ford dealer. The parts lady quoted me $74.95 for each
of the passenger side vents, and $134.95 for each of the driver's side vents!
I hope she was looking at the wrong pieces on the screen! She insisted she wastn't (and told me that they looked complicated to remove) . I guess I'll have to go by there.......

EDIT : Ok, So while I was at lunch I went by another dealership that is close to work, and the parts guy there tried to look it up, but couldn't find anything and basically said that they can't be ordered!
