Black Inserts in My Red Seats

I had black inserts sewn into my red seats. I have always loved my red interior, but wanted to break it up a little. I'm happy with how they turned out. They used red thread in the black and it matches really well.

Wow, very nice! I like that combo! I like the two-tone and thought the black with red would be too subtle, but the red with black looks awesome!

Thanks you guys!! $400 for the front and back at Sherbert and Robs Trim Shop here in Spartanburg. The same shop did my headrest embroidery about a year ago. They are Mustang enthusiast themselves, and have been in business here for years, so I trusted them. I was really worried about how the contrast would look, but I'm really happy with them.

Having the red seats, I can appreciate how good they look - they did a quality job!

Sorry for what might be a dumb question. But any idea how they do that? Did they disassemble your seats and remove the covers, then sew in the new pieces? I ask because I've never messed with upholstery before. It seems complicated.

It turned out well.

Yes, they just took the seat covers off, and took out the red inserts and sewed in new black ones. I left it on Monday morning and got it back around noon on Tuesday, so I don't think it was a very big job.

Donna that is just awesome. I like the red but sometimes its overwhelming so the way that black w/red stitching just break it up and ties it all in.... That is a beautiful Tungsten....
