Any of these products look familiar to anyone? Descriptions/pictures are exactly plagarized from MGW's site, and the prices are about double what MGW charges!

Unless something has changed, George (MGW) only offers his products directly. He does not have any distributors or re-sellers.

Maybe George will make a comment as soon as he sees the web site in question.

That's what I thought to. But I examined things like the e-brake handle, pictures are definitely a rip-off, and the description is almost word for word from the MGW web site.

It originally came to my attention through ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m29

Pretty darn shady selling George's stuff at double the price if you ask me.

Kyle,
Maybe you could contact e-bay ASAP to help them out.
If there is plagarism and re-selling, perhaps they can do something about it.

I thought you could buy and sell just about any thing you wanted on ebay. I also thought you could use any pic you wanted unless its copy written.

Quote from E-bay:
  • You should avoid "borrowing" text or images (including photos) from other listings on eBay, a manufacturer's web site, product catalogs, or other sources without specific permission from the owner. Contrary to popular belief, simply because images and text may be found somewhere on the Internet does not necessarily mean that they are not protected by copyright laws. Copyright laws apply to the Internet, and manufacturers or other copyright owners may object to the use of text or images that they own or have created.
  • You should write your own descriptive text for your listing, and take your own photos.
  • Read about copyright basics and eBay's item description and picture theft guidelines.

thanks for the heads up guys but the only issue i really have is that they are using my pics and i need to contact them to stop this. we actually have several guys that i have been informed of that buy my stuff at full retail and sell it on ebay etc. not anything i can do about it but i do need to make sure that they are not being unclear as to who makes the stuff. i do not want my parts to be misrepresented. its a free market and if they can get double the money then i guess thats okay but WOW

we do not have any dealers and i do not discount my stuff for this very reason.

thanks Mark for the email and the post . i really appreciate you guys lookling out for me!!!

regards
george

I am with Richard, I ordered one of everything! I sure hope they combine shipping! NOT! As a community we need to work to prevent these people from ripping off our fellow members and ebay clients as well.

with a website name like "TheMustangGTstore" I doubt they'll last long before Ford Legal gets on their case.

HA!! Did a search.

Guess what.

Not only are they in my SAME TOWN, but along side the same golf course I live at, just one traffic light away. Guess I'll go visit them in the AM.

This should be fun. Stand-by.

Talk about digging. But if you dig deep enough.....

so, at the bottom of the pile. is emagineit, inc. Apparently a scheme that sells Computer, get rich quick programs. Basicially a date base provider of other business's.

The Building: for Hot Car Acessories, is an empty office space, with a sign that say's "for lease/sale" on the grass. Somebody must frequent the place, because their rubbish barrell was outside. (Got there too late, it was already picked up.)

Looks like, someone went to a seminar, bought the tapes/books, and is in a startup mode to get rich quick on other's shirtsleeve's.

I'll go back during the week, then again on rubbish collection day, but very early. I went with George's name and telephone number in hand, in case they would liked to have called him.

A funny note, on their web pages, that they copied, it says it copywrited!!!

What are things that can delay my shipment?
If your shipment is delayed there is a reason for it.
Sometimes the shipment is delayed within the mailing system.
Unfortunately, we have no control over that.
Shipping can be delayed by product availability as well.
During the months of June to September it is Hurricane Season for Florida.
If you see on the news that Florida is being
hit by a hurricane you can assume an extra week for delivery.
Customs in your home country.
