Just as the title states, when is someone going to come out with some carbon fiber parts...hood, trunk lid, fenders, etc.?

And, anyone have weight specs on the stock hood, trunk lid, and fenders?

 

I dont really know if your gonna see too much cf stuff, although i think the CDC shaker system can be ordered with a cf hood (the stock hood can also be used if you cut into it.)

 

I have had the hood off of mine to check the fit on the new one and I can tell you that you are going to have a real hard time finding a hood that is lighter than the one that comes stock! I didn't weigh it but it is easily picked up by one person. The new hood is heavier by about 5 pounds.

 

Thanks for that, I wondered if it was made out of aluminum or not (which would mean that it isn't much heavier than CF).

The CDC hood is painted, so i'm not sure if it's CF or not as they don't say in the description, I was going to get a CF hood and use their shaker.

I emailed ViS Racing a while back, they said they would probably make parts for the 05 Mustang GT...so maybe they'll have something soon.

Keep in mind i'm using these parts for weight savings (maybe not the hood, but the trunk lid and fenders), not just to have a "CF look".
