Cool

LOL I thought I'd just post this up here to see if anyone was interested in my Shaker 500. As you can see from my other topic, I yanked it about a week after I got the car. I played 1 CD in it...it sounded pretty all right, but I've been set on an aftermarket system for a while. I have all of the speakers (including the subs) and the head unit. Unfortunately Car Toys cut the wiring on the subs pretty close, but it's still workable.

If you're interested let me know...

Since you have it out, maybe you can answer something for me: is the front unit (head and 6cd changer) one unit or two together?

It's one unit. I know people have been nosing around about the AUX button too...I'll check if it's phono plugs (I'm pretty sure it is, but can't remember off the top of my head).

eh, not a big deal, i'm getting the 1000 but was considering doing a aftermarket in a few years ... im good enough with electronics, so i'd imagine i can always find a way to make the changer work with another head

I'd like to see the back of the Shaker 500 head unit. Can you take a post a close-up photo of the backpanel?

I'll get it ASAP. My friend wanted to see if it would fit his F250...the opening is too small. As soon as I get the unit back from him I'll snap a couple of pics.

Steve,

I am awaiting delivery of a GT that has the 6CD Changer but no listing of Shaker on the order form. I did not originally order the car, only found it and put a quick deposit. I would be interested in your 500 if the install was not too difficult.

Got my unit back today. No RCA plugs. I guess they expect you to splice into the harness.

I'm at work with no camera, so I'll post pics when I get home.

Hey Richard, how were you able to confirm that yours is built. Mine is scheduled for a build date of 12/13.

Hey steve19970, next time don't make promises you are too lazy to deliver. Several people developed expectations based upon your stated intent.
