IUP is 460 retail and Ambient lighting is 295 retail in the US. Comparing the base prices of the cars it looks like Ford is just combing the price into that package and not giving the option.

Hey guys (new here) I am picking up my 2008 Mustang GT this Friday (Aug 31st) It has the ambient lighting package, but I never saw it since I ordered the car and they didn't have one on the lot with the ambient lighting. I'll try and post some pics this weekend if I ever get out of the car once I get in it (my first Mustang)

OK, I think I got the part numbers for the LEDs that go in the front footwells. I looked in a car that had them and there was a sticky around the wires leading up to the LEDs on each side. The numbers were the same for driver and passenger:

8R33 13E720 AA

I was also looking at the LEDs that are in the rear footwells on the centre console. It would look to me as though buying an entire centre console base is not needed, just the LEDs themselves, and just drilling a small hole to fir them in.

Cheers

No, I'm still waiting. It's at the railyard, but they haven't unloaded it yet!

There goes three days I could have been driving it, moding it, etc.

I alos took some vacation days next week, so I could have the whole week off. I'm not sure I should have done that! Errr!

I hear you man, I planned on having it for this long weekend. The weather here is perfect too... How do you know exactly where yours is? All I know is, mine was supposed to be delivered to the dealer on Friday (7/31) and it never showed up. Funny thing is, They are built right down the street from me (less then 10 miles away) So once it gets on the truck, it should be here within a half hour. Ugghh!

Mine has similar options...2008 GT Premium, Optional 3.55 ratio axle (455), TR3650 5-speed Manual Transmission (44K), HID headlamps (51H), Active Anti-Theft System (14A), Sirius Sat Radio (50S), Ambient Lighting (95M), Interior Upgrade Package (18G), Satin Aluminum Instrument Panel Applique (67L), Premier Trim with Color Accent Package (68B), Dark Charcoal/Black Color Accent (KW), 18" Polished Aluminum Wheels (64W), Vapor Clearcoat Metalic (ZY)

Well, I got the railcar number from my sales guy. I was going to post over at Blue Oval forum since there used to be a guy who could track it via the railroads system, but he quit posting. So, I did an Internet search and found a 1-800 number for this one railroad company. I called them, and they gave me the number to Union Pacific's automated system.

The last update was it was over on the other side of Dallas from me, but it looks like the local transport company doesn't have it loaded off of the railcar yet!

I guess I'm not the only one depressed about not getting my car when I thought I would. Thanks for the reply, I feel a little bit better.....

Your car sounds like it should be pretty cool too! Congrats!

I just got the call, my car is here!

well unfortunately that is only for the 08's it says. So it probably is a retrofit for the 08's ambient.

I tried REALLY hard to get a good picture of the footwell ambient lighting... and I couldn't do it. The cupholders come out fine, but it's hard to capture how much light the footwell lighting actually gives off... I think others have reported similar results. Hope it works out for you. Post pics if it does.

Yeah, I tried taking some pics as well, and they didn't come out too great since the flash went off. I do like how the ambient lighting looks with my Steeda cup holder. It looks pretty cool.......

Here's a link to a pic, looks a lot better in person.....
