Just stumbled across this company that makes a dash kit for the 2005. Not bad looking.

Sweet! Stainless billet looks like it'd be a perfect replacement.
They even have some to make it look classy. Nice alternatives.

All I know is that I have sat in a lot of '05s lately and the interior of the cars without IUP look flat-out plain.
Do you think that this might be TOO much shiny up front? Wouldn't the sun hitting it cause a glare?

IUP lite is like $195

all the extra stainless is overkill IMO. I would love a tight mesh like look or an engine turned panel for the dash though

If MSRP on IUP lite is $195, invoice should be $174.

i agree, if i were to use this aftermarket IUP, i would only use the parts that appear on the actual IUP, the other would find its way to the garbage or ebay.

Anybody notice this quote on the detail page?

Fits 2005 Mustang GT Upgrade
(Fits GT Models with factory interior upgrade package) (11pcs.)

Looks to me like this is an addition to the IUP, NOT a replacement.

Yes, but if you go to the non GT page it has the option of including everything.
Just another company selling Mustang parts that doesn't know anything about Mustangs and is too lazy to do any research.

Yeah it's still bad. You still are stuck with only 4 gagues & 2 extra dummy lights. I will take my 6 gagues thank you & someone else can have the 4 & the dummy lights.

:worship: Thanks for finding this os121. When I checked out the pdf schematics, looks like the 16 piece is just like the actual I.U.P. (without the steering wheel & shifter accents) except extras are the inside radio consol area & the piece surrounding the shifter area & door handles. The picture above shows everything w/additional 5 piece optional which has the sides of the radio consol area & a panel for above the glove compartment. I'm going with the 16 piece so it won't look too much. Still in all thanks to Ford, this package along with the I.U.P. lite I ordered is costing more than the original package & I don't have MyColor to show for it. Because of circumstances with my current car I can't wait later to order my stang. Had to do it now.

Thanks for the link! I knew someone would come out with a kit, but didn't expect it to be so soon.

Did anyone notice, once on the page, if you select one of the kits and scroll down, there are options to the finish. It doesnt have to be just the aluminum finish ... one is even for a carbon fiber finish.

Yes, I suppose you could even choose wood finish and make your own 05 Mustang Grande!

(I can't believe I even said that!)
