Thumbs up Air bag stickers removed w/pics

I removed the airbag stickers. You can see slight indentation but it sure beats the ugliness. Couldn't find a pic of someone elses in a search.

Looks better IMO. I used the hot iron method on mine, but burnt one visor. A call to 05stangkc fixed that though. Live and learn.

How much did the new visor cost?
I'm thinking about trying to redo mine. Didn't get them hot enough and left some residue behind.

try heating up the residu with the dryer and rubbing gently with a dark cloth. I peeled way to fast on the first one and that exact thing happened to me.
you don't need to remove visor for removal. Just go slow. Careful though, that hot air on the fingertips starts to hurt like a mother!

A wet cloth and a hot iron will remove the residue. That is also the way to remove the stupid looking decal. I remove them the first week we had the car!

Yes, you remove the visors to do this.

So just get like a dish towel, wet it and run the iron over it? Will it start to peel off on it's own so you know its ready or do you need to start picking at it?

Been meaning to try this but didn't want to chance any residue glue, but want to do it before the visors start fading and will be real noticable.

I carefully picked & peeled most of it away and then wiped "Goo-Gone" on the rest of it. 5 min later, the rest came off pretty easy. No burning, no heating, no indentations.

So the Goo-Gone didn't leave any stain or oily mess on the visor?

For anyone using the heating method, make sure the decal is hot enough. I started out going REAL slow on one corner and there wasn't any residue left behind. Then I got impatient and didn't heat it up enough so the residue on mine looks like a rectangle with the corner missing.

No stains, it just takes some patience with the tweezers and make sure you don't go to fast (be careful you don't rip out any fabric).

Guys, Why fool with tweezers and all? With the blow dryer ,the sticker came off in 1 full piece. Just don't go too fast.also,no need to remove visor. Work smarter ,not harder!! Use the extra time you saved to cruise around neighborhood and watch as jealous neighbors drool!!

It's just that, the heat from the hair dryer is a bit too hot for my old fingers to endure. LOL

Yep, mine came off during the first week she was home. Used the hair dryer and fingers. Zero residue on the drivers side, but some on the passenger side. Will try some of the above techniques to get rid of the rest. Does look much cleaner.
