Go to Crutchfield's web site and plug in you car information and they'll give you a list of what fits. I always do my research there, and then check amazon for a lower price on the unit. But I do buy the installation kit from them

I've got the Pioneer AVH-4000NEX and I love it! It doesn't sit flush thought. It sticks out about a half inch but it's because the screen angle is adjustable which is nice.

Ditto...had the Pioneer NEX 4000 installed today. Needs more setting up as I wait for Apple to release Pioneer's upgrade for CarPlay.

I'd just went Kenwood Eze long all the way dvd no nav , all Kenwood in the sides now that's 4 , then 2 Kenwood slim 8 " subs in the door now with 2 10" subs in my trunk. The overall sound over factory is at leat 50-60 % better .

The NEX 4000 looks great. I have been installing a factory NAV and Sync to mine, but looks like this will be the real route to go. Did you guys use the iDatalink to keep the factory XM? Would like to know how well that works, or if I need to buy the aftermarket XM add-on tuner.

My car is too old for Ford SYNC and Satellite Radio.

Pioneer finally got the CarPlay update pushed out after Apple released iOS 8. Works great!

How old is your car? I have a 07 and I put in SYNC in it.

BTW what did you use to cover up your cig lighter plug?

Mine is an 05. The NEX 4000 can add Satellite but I do not need it using CarPlay as iTunes has stations similar. At this time, I still get unlimited data from AT&T as it has been grandfathered in since I started with an iPhone 3s a few years ago. If/When that goes away, I will have to seriously research my data usage to find a good contract.

The cover is a magnet I got off eBay designed to cover the plug. I bought it back in July, 2009. I am sure you can find something like it.

Do you think there's a way to modify the mounting to make it sit more flush? What mounting kit did you use?

Hi Ststang.

Looks very nice. Think I want a Nex as well. Do You have some info about wiring kit ( iso ) , and do I need some extra framework. ?

Hope to hear from You

Thanks : Henrik
