2010 parts in 05-09 cars?

Looking at the the guages, I'm guessing that these will have the same plugs as the 05-09. I might be tempted to try if someone could confirm that the plugs are the same with the same connections - KC?

Definitley liking the MyColor door sills, too. I'll be picking these up instead of the ones Ford Racing offers that only light up in white.

And I like the MyColor ambient lighting under the door armrests - this would be an easy extension of our factory ambient lighting.

And those door panels! I doubt these would fit due to the lip along the top towards teh back of the door - but nice.

Overall, the 2010 interior is finally looks nice. I always thought the interior and fit and finish of my 05 was cheap. Nice to know Ford wised up and did something about it. But why didn't they offer this in the 1st place? And finally they have a leather e-brake boot! Check out the chrome accent around the speakers - I'll be picking up those.

Cheers

I will Need the 2010 Wiring & Parts Diagrams to Start trying to Figure this one Out. I do Not Expect to see them til Jan-Feb.

I have Started a Forum for These Questions. Please Post in There So I can Keep Track of All Retrofit Questions and Answer as Info Becomes Available.

With all the great improvements in the '10, couldn't they have painted the cam covers?

The guages from the gt500 also have the tach on the right, but it also plugs right in.

Cheers

Did Ford bump the redline, or just change the red section on the gauges?

Can lighted sills be hooked up on 06? How are you gonna get receiver bezels? I thought you had to buy whole unit. The plastic looks like the same cheap stuff but I could be wrong?

You can get the ones from Ford Racing, but they replace the whole piece - not just the inserts. I would expect the 2010 parts to be no different.

Anybody know why they swapped the Tach and the Speedo gauge? I know the GT 500 is this way but I was surprised to see them do it on the GT. Is the Bullitt also this way 08-09?

..because they realized that they screwed up in 05 when they put it on the left.

I'm sure this has been asked before somewhere, but ... what's the big deal with it on the left? I can see both guages just fine.

Cheers

Not a fan of white faced gauges. Sure, they were cool when only "HOT" factory cars had them but now they are on everything. The also seem way too bright at night especially on isolated roads/highways with minimal street light coverage.

Sort of like "Lambo" doors. Lamborgini doesn't even use them anymore.

My forearms are roughly 14", so when I'm shifting, my left arm covers a good portion of the tach.

The do on the Murcielago. The Gallardo gets regular doors.

After seeing the 2010, the door panels might fit, but it would not be perfect. The upper rear corner of the door panel kicks up to match the hips on the outside and the side defrosters would be redundant. The speaker covers look like they are the same diameter and might fit. I am hoping to add those to my Mustang. The current covers look VERY cheap!

Id be interested to know if the mycolor sills will be able to be modded into an 05 with mycolor, very cool looking option. Although basically worthless IMO

I'd like to know if the '10 has adjustable headrests. I thought I saw in one of the informational PDFs where it said two-way adjustable headrests. I hope they didn't mean up and down right?

If it is tilting would it fit an '06?

On sunny days, I can't see my gauge needle against the black background. So I just kinda wing it. Those would be nice.
