Love it. Would love to see some better photos and a write up of what you had to do in order to retrofit it in there. I might be wanting to do something similar.

It took me a sec, but much better than that 05/09 console.

Just have it mocked up in photos. I still have to make mounting brackets for the front. It actually is a lot of work. The key is to cut a little at a time to fit

Wow. Looks awesome. Can you take a picture of the back. Like how it connects to the back seat. Does it all line up.

Havnt gotten that far yet. The only one I'm going to try is the trunk release. Don't know what I'll do with the other ones.

the newer console is a bit more sleek looking. it really looks good in our year car. for the auto shift guys, that really opens the door for using the 10+ shifter and not having to notch out the console like some people have done cause its alot nicer looking shifter. it would all fit perfect. nice job and great post

man if i still had my stock shifter i would want to do this console mod and the new shifter. since i have the tci which is now around $500, it wouldnt fit the new console.

Do these require the stock shifter , what about an MGW ? I really like this idea , but not to the point of loosing my shifter.

your shifter sits really far forward though. i can make a boot with the 2010 bottom that will fit the 10+ trim ring to fit onto the console, and with the 05-09 hole with o ring to fit the hurst oval boot adapter.

What about the e brake handle , did you have to replace ours with a newer one ?

Very nice!

I've been wondering if this was possible.

Any pics of the trimming?

Finally done. You have to use the ebrake handle from the 2010 or newer ours won't work too long.
