Check with your finger to make sure there isn't a penny or dime in there. I bought a 2005 Mustang in January and a 2006 Mustang in September. When I plugged my Garmin into both outlets, they didn't work. One had a penny in it, and the other had 2 pennies in it. Not sure how they dropped in there, but obviously it can happen! A small piece of gum on the end of your finger will get them out.

 

Lol weird. Mine doesn't work either, I'm going to have to double check that.
