Does anyone know if the thread size is the same on the manual trans '05 GT as it was on previous GTs? I have a 35th Anniversary aluminum **** on my '95 GT that I bought from Ford Motorsport, and would like to transfer it to the '05 GT when I get it, if it will fit.

This is the ****:

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_...rtKeyField=6606

It was called the 35th Anniversary **** when I bought it, and it was $35 then. It looks even better when you paint the shift pattern and gear numbers black!

The '05 is 1/2". I don't know about the previous years.

Thread size on OEM and most aftermarket SN95 shift handles is 1.75x12mm

OBX Speed Star in chrome, but you will need to contact them to find out
if they have it in 1/2" with a 20 thread. Or buy it and tap it.

Yes it is, but the chrome is also growing on me, matches the trim around the vents and gauges...I heard PEP boys carries a chrome one like yours.

I found this one over at Scott Drake ,looks retro enough but I haven't checked to see if this is the right shift pattern for the 05 and thread size.

Could well be, if they do, maybe they also carry the titanium one and you can see both to choose from. The web site I got mine from doesn't show the chrome, only black & colors.
