05-07 leather seats
I have been looking for months for some leather seats for my 2005 mustang gt coupe non-airbag car. I have tried ebay, a bunch of takeoff places and my local CL. Nothing, zilch zero, nada. Either sellers want 1K plus for old ragged looking seats or $600 for just the takeoff covers. Does anyone know of a place selling leather oem seats or covers for a reasonable price?

TMI Products sells upholstery for our cars, and you can customize it. I'm pissed because they do not offer kits for airbag cars.. only non-airbag cars.

Yeah I have searched every salvage yard for 200 miles. Either the wrong color or just trashed. I have looked at TMI before but the deal with them is you have to buy their foam for the front seats. Tacks on another $200 per seat on top of the upholstery.

What color are you looking for? It is really getting hard to find decent prices for leather. If you do, they are usually used up and not worth much. You also have to be careful when looking at leathers. The base models and GT models use different leathers. The bases are wide spaced pleats where the GTs are even close spaced pleats.
What color is your car you are putting them in? I guess it wouldn't matter if you were going Charcoal colored. lol.

Best thing to do is search Craigslist. When I had my Grabber Orange '07 GT with cloth seats, I found a guy selling the black leather take off seat covers from his '06 GT. He sold them to me for $150 - complete set in mint condition.

The color I am looking for is dark charcoal and I scour CL daily. LOL The cheapest I have found takeoff's in what I am looking for is $500. For that amount I could so a semi-custom like TMI or katskin.

I know what you mean, it's quite peculiar. I've been searching for one Red leather seat for the longest and I can't seam to find them,I did find one person and his price was just offensive. After I get all my mods worked out I think katzkinz and the paint shop will be my last stops.

I would pay the $500 if the quality was new or near new. But I see things that are either tore up, cracked, cig burns, holes and poorly fitted patch jobs. You are right it is offensive. LOL

I got sick of looking for takeoffs so I bought some covers from Leatherseats.com They use the same leather as Katzkins and are a perfect fit. Took me about a day total to swap them out using a lot of elbow grease and a YouTube video. I highly recommend them.

Black Non Airbag Brand new:Just an example.
Anyway, I would email these guys on ebay selling take offs and negotiate a price for the fronts or set if reasonable. Mention to the seller that once you buy the seat covers "they will have extra Christmas money." or tell them it is a Christmas gift.
Id go with OEM. Custom seats never seem to fit or look right IMO. (Katskinz) The ones that do fit and look right cost serious cash.

BTW, I bought my Flowmaster exhaust for 250 from a guy last year about this time because I mentioned "extra Christmas money" (originally 600 set up)

I do have a spare set of GT dove gray leather covers for a coupe if anyone is interested. They are in very good shape.
I was going to put them on my spare set of seats, but found a set of Shelby's with the blue inserts (on ebay). I gave 390, delivered, for them last month. I have the d/s and the back ones on, but still have to switch the p/s seat out. I have to move the covers from the nonpower to the powered seat, but when I finish, I will have two matching sets of seats. I think I should add a set of heaters in these before I have them ready to put into the car. It is always easier to pre-wire something, than to do it in tight, cramped areas. lol I have so many extra parts lying around. One of these days, .....lol

What's your location?? I have a complete seats front and back from my 07 GT/CS (black and dove grey) stored in my garage. Shipment is the only problem. Non air bag with heaters and power adjustments.
