Zinc Yellow
My favorite color ever, Zinc yellow. Absolutely stunning lighter brighter yellow. If the 05 came with a zinc yellow option, I would have chosen it in a heartbeat above redfire. What can we do to bring it back?
I agree that Zinc is gorgeous (see avatar).
Zinc or a color that is almost identical (perhaps identical with just a name change) will likely come back in a few years. When you look at previous years yellows they seem to cycle. Screaming yellow is very similar to the chrome yellow that was on the 99 and 00 stangs (then zinc was on the stang from 01 to 03 [actually zinc started as a spring edition in 00], now screaming from 04 to present). I wouldn't be surprised if a color like Zinc replaces Screaming in 07 or 08.
I also think that Screaming does look good on the current stang while I really didn't like the chrome yellow that was on the stang before zinc. And chrome and screaming are pretty close if not identical, so sometimes a color looks better on different cars or body styles, although I don't think Zinc would have that problem.

Competition Orange is nice, if they had had that it would have been tough to choose. Still Zinc is deh win!! But part of the reason I got yellow was because yellow cars were so rare, little did I know I got it right at the time it was becoming quite popular
After all these years,

Little did I know that yellow was the 05 color of choice around here second to black.
And not to mention all the yellow neons and SUVs and rumble bees rolling around.
If there would have been a comp. orange 05- it woulda been no contest.
Yeah, I think I'm into the whole "I don't want my car to look like everyone else's" thing. So if I had known how popular yellow was going to become, and competition Orange had been available, I likely would've gotten it. They also came out with Sonic Blue the next year... that also would've been a tough choice.

Down here in Mustang Alley;
I see the most blacks-2-3 unique ones per day.
then yellow-plethoras of yellows.
silvers
torch red..
Redfire
I have only seen one each of all the other colors.
Brad- do you have that info on amount produced yet?

Here is a breakdown of the production numbers for 2004. Other years are across the top of the page.

Yes, yellow is still not a huge numbers produced car, but its still too common for me, and April of course.
