I just got in the mail the Xenon quarter c scoops that go behind the door and would like an idea how much I should plan to have them installed and painted? I'm surprised at the material and scratching my head wondering how this will be snug and smooth on the car. But the pics I've seen here of others with the scoops installed look real good. Here's where I ordered, and I got them in two days in Socal! http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-9629-25-0.html

well i'll say this, goin paint rate is about 50-60$/hr depending on where you are. so ima just give u a estimate in a bodyshop prospective, ( they are out to make $$$)

ima say 5 hours total to paint ( 250$) then 1hr for each to install (eventhough they inmstall with two sided tape) so thts 2 hours at 45$ ( average body rate labor) so ima say around 30 +taxes. depending on the shop, and how well you want the color to match.

Someone else had them installed for $150. That's kinda low, I'm thinking $200-250. Anyone out there who has these installed? I'm going to the shop tomorrow morning for an estimate.

If they are the same ones I have I have them istalled for 75 bucks. I bought mine prepainted though off fleabay. The installation is a snap. Just some 3M tape. You could do it yourself, just make sure you clean the surface.

After the scoops arrived in the mail, I instantly thought this was going to be more costly than I anticipated. Sure enough, painter quoted 3 hrs @ $45 for each one, $270, then another $100 or so for install (lol what???) and some more money for parts and supplies, so around $400-$450, plus $140 for purchase, ~$600, ouch. I'm returning these, and ordering the prepaint ones and install myself.

On the + side, I just got my CDC spoiler in the mail and putting it on this weekend!
