Would this look gay? Stripes down the back window.
I just had an idea. An idea that I don't think I've ever seen any photos of. Here pretty soon I will be getting custom made vinyl stripes. They will be just standard stripes, matte black on black. But I am going to have them done localy.
But the guy that does this, gave me a bunch of samples, and one of the samples is transparent. When placed on a color, it looks like speckle tone. Which isn't what I was looking for on the car. But when placed on glass, it looks frosted. Like laser-etched glass.
So what if I were to lay down frosted stripes on my back window to connect the hood and the trunk? How do you think that would look? Too much? Has anyone done this before? Any photos?

it may be too much plus it wont match unless you get the whole car done and your rear window tinted. probably going to be overkill but would be cool if you had the glass roof

Yeah. gay was my first thought. And is probably why I haven't seen it at all. With black being my theme, and I like simplicity, I was thinking that this may be too much for what I wanted. But for a second I thought it could be a cool idea.

I really don't think the word "gay" is the proper way to refer to stripes on a window. Not sure a single word describes "I have no common sense when adding exterior modifications to my car." Sorry, but stripes on windows is just bad, no matter how you look at it.

About 2-3 years ago someone posted pics on here showing an 05 that had stripes through the back window, but he did it with window tint. It was very hard to see and was extremely subtle. The site has crashed too many times and I'm sure the pics are long gone. I personally didn't think it looked that good.
