With or without black accent?

Black accent panel between tail lights that is.
Trying to decide.

I like the addition ...... "Wife Unit" is not exactly "agin it" .... but she's not as "ferr it" as I am. I even picked up a magnetic one off Ebay for $20 or so and have tried it both ways just to see. I was sort of thinking about the plastic panel with the honeycomb like the grille but this was a cheaper way to "experiment" before buying one.
I could just run the magnetic one some days ... and not other days ..... like to see if she comes around or if I do?

Thoughts anyone?

Looks good either way IMO, but since you have the stripes I would go without. The blackout panels break up the body color and provide some great looking contrast , but the stripes do that on their own. Without stripes I would definitely go with the blackout panel.

I don't like the panel with the chrome trim. I don't like the panel itself either. If you're going to get one, get one that actually fills the void between the tail lights and is flush with the lights, and change the bezels to black to match.

Since the plate says "HER GT", I assume the car belongs to the wife unit. In that case, she should get the final word.

If the taillight surrounds were black and you didn't have the stripes, then the blackout panel would be rad.

Don't break up the stripes, especially with those chrome taillight surrounds.

Thanks Folks! It didn't cost much and it'll stay stuck against the duct work with the paper between until I sell it to someone.

That's the one that I was seriously considering with black TL trim back when I removed the different chrome ones that were on the TLs when we bought it .... but "Wife Unit" saw some like these on another and the rest is history.

She does that ..... "get the final word" that is when it comes to this car.

I like it either way, but I agree that since you have stripes I would leave it as is. Looks very sharp just the way it is now.

In case it matters...

1 - NEVER with stripes. It breaks up the look and makes one wonder why they got stripes.

2 - Also, never sunk in. I've never liked the sunken blackout look. The blackout should be flush with the lights, in the same vein as the above pic, or like the '13-14s.

3 - And yes, for the record, stripes on the 13-14 look wrong because of the factory blackout panel, to me.

Thems my opinions on the blackout panel. But thems MINE, and if'n y'all's are different, that's fine and dandy. You're opinion is wrong, of course, but it's still fine and dandy nonetheless.

Nice car.

I'd agree with the majority, with stripes like yours I'd go without the blackout panel. I have stripes, and a panel, but my stripes stop right where the panel starts anyhow. Had I the type of stripes you have, I wouldn't have gotten the panel.
