Will these wheels fit the '05?
What is the difference ( if any) between polished aluminum and chrome rims?
What sizes can be used on the '05?
Does the polished aluminum have a "hazy" look to them, and chrome is more mirrored?
Thanks

Well, it says on the description page that they fit 99-04 year models. That is not to say they wouldn't fit a 05. Actually, a 10.5 is a little bit wide, but certainly do-able. But I would email them and ask them for the offset and backspacing of the wheel before I purchased them. The offset of a wheel is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel to the true centerline of the rim. A positive offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is positioned inside of the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This in effect brings the tire in to the fender well more. Conversely, a negative offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is outside the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This will cause the tire to stick out away from the vehicle. A +24 or + 36 mm offset rim will protrude from the fender well approx 3/8"or 3/4" (respectively) more than a +45mm offset wheel.

You are also going to need to pay attention to the backspacing on the wheel. For an explination of backspacing, go here Wheel backspacing
Difference between polished aluminum and chrome is polished aluminum is just as it sounds. The outer surface of the wheel has been polished with a machine to give a shiney appearance. In time if it has not been clear coated, they will dull up and need to be repolished. They are also not going to be as shiney as chrome.
Chrome is a coating that is put over metal.

WOW.thanks for all the info. I never understood all the "offset =/- stuff before. Not sure I now truely get it, but I will check all of that before buying rims and tires.
Are there Chrome bullit wheels that can be used with the Pirelli's that came on the car. I do not want polished aluminum.
Thanks to anyone that can help my search ..........

For what I know, because I originally looked at those, they will not fit the 05. They stick way out because the offset it wrong. I have 18x10's on the rear of mine and they just fit. Without alot of modifying I'd be surprised (and jealous) if anything wider that 10" would fit.
Uhh...You might want to try ROH Drift R's. They come in chrome to. I don't know if they're your type but just trying to help

Don't completely alienate the polished wheel idea. There are some nice looking polished wheels for a reasonable price. And if they have been finished off correctly, they will stay that way.
Here is one example. ebay link. I bought my black bullits through this dealer. Very pleased with them AND the price. Same seller also has chrome but I did not see any that did not also include tires chrome wheel. I am sure if you emailed him or called his store, they sell the chrome ones without the tires.
And no, I have no connection to the seller.
One of our members has Crome Cragar 5 spokes with the factory spinners on it that fit the Mustang and look great I don't know if you have seen it but it's a white convertible with blue stripes,it looks great and it's not that much money.
I don't care for chrome much....
I had polished Cobra R rims for my 96 Cobra and I loved them...
I guess I like polished more is because they look like metal...
Polished looks raw and classy at the same time...

Those 17X10.5 will most likely fit, but they will definately stick past the fenders noticably. Rotors come out farther out than they used to on previous models, thus giving us a minor selection for deep lips. Unless you like skinnier and thinner spokes that can bend out the way, that would be the only way to get that deep look.
What I would do or some nicely tucked deep dished torq thrust wheels as well.
I guess some without the large deep lip will be suffice for me. I despise the look of wheels that stick out.
John you wheels look sick!

here is an angle shot to show a 10" rim and how it sits pretty darn even with the outside of the fender. It misses the inside by 1/4" so if you went with a 10.5" or larger rim the only place for it to go is the outside which would be rub city if you ask me.
