The Razors are not available in black. You want to paint them yourself?

P.s. I placed an order today for Gun Metal ones. Originally I wanted Silver but you convinced me to go Gun Metal - I hope I will be not disappointed with that choice
Because I am from Europe I will wait now for them 6-7 weeks
And they will cost me 1255$ net net

In my opinion the gun metal on your or on mine torch red is not going well with white stripes.
It should have gun metal stripes or without stripes. Now the question if the gun metal stripes go well with torch red or windevil blue???

Thanks seabiscuit !!!

Difficult to lose metallic bilk on Grabber Orange from original photo. I left on both gray stripes as you already have got them on car. I would go Silver Razors with Gray Stripes. They go outstanding but it looks great in my oppinion.

According to Amy from Shelby American Racing paints them black for them. It's a shame American Racing doesn't do this for the standard wheel. I'm going to powdercoat mine

Where did you buy your Rims? IS it 20" with tires? I am also interested in Silver.

For Gunmetal in the +24mm offset (6 inch backspace) just do a Google search for "Shelby Razor". Gunmetal is not the most popular color for this wheel and is available at numerous places. In fact I just conformed with Jegs the other day that the 19 Shelby wheels they had available where all Gunmetal. The Silver ones are on back order with a waiting list of about 90 something people last I heard. The shipment expected in soon only had something like 30 or 40 sets in Silver. Of course I have no idea how true that is but in terms of Gunmetal, they are available all over. I was also looking for Silver for my Vista blue however due to the shortage I decided to just go with the regular AR version and I found out they where also becoming hard to find. I just got them yesturday and they went on today. With the price I got off eBay I got over not having the Shelby version pretty darn quick. I now have extra mod money and I can get the Shelby center caps if I want.

Also of note. The Shelby version of these wheels, at least the most recent ones made are not +24mm anymore, they are actually now +22mm offset so they will stick out slightly more, probably not to noticeable to the naked eye. The box will say "+24mm+2". The extra 2mm was done to accommodate the big brake package on the GT500. If you are concerned about this hunt around and see if you can find the AR version. Mine that came are straight up +24mm, no extra mm's. I went with 255/35's in the front and 275/35's in the rear and am 200% happy with everything overall.

Good luck, I hope everyone gets what they want. it took me over a year trying to get the Shelby version and I ended up with the AR version but all said and done, I am super happy.

Did you get one of the $450 sets? If so you're lucky. I went to order from the guy and he couldn't get them at that price anymore . I didn't pay much more than that locally but they sent the Shelby gun metal ones instead. I've got a standard silver set coming though.

Oh and seabiscuit - nice photoshoping

noob question, if you have a 8.5in wide wheel with a 45mm offset..... will that push the wheel out farther or suck it back in? I am guessing those specs wouldnt look near as good as this.

Original 17" Mustang wheels are 8 wide with 45 offset. So in your situation 0,5" more will go both sides for about 0,25" in my oppinion.

Yes I did but it did cost me a little bit more because he only had 2 of the wheels and he had to get the other 2 from American. His quote to me on the phone was "It looks like American has a few left floating around in different places" I got two of them at the super price and the other 2 for just a little bit more (less then $100 more)

What I have learned from all this, the larger the +offset, the further in the wheel will be. I also figured this out. The offset if dictated by the backspacing or vise versa. I say this because at one point I said hell with it and was going to get the +40mm Shelby Razors. I called SAI and asked if they had them and the Shelby Sales guy says "+40mm??? We don't make them. They only make +24mm with different backspacing"

Hmmm so I figured this out with the Razors.

+40mm (is also the 6.5" backspacing)
+24mm (is also the 6" backspacing)
+12mm (is also the 5.5 backing spacing)

For those still hunting for silver Shelby versions. Just an FYI, there probably is a set or two floating around somewhere but be very careful. Like Deric said, he ordered them and got Gunmetal by mistake. I actually ordered silver Shelby's 3 seperate times from 3 different places only to find out once they physically checked before shipping they where actually Gunmetal. If you are hunting, make sure the place you are buying them from physically checks them for the right color. Also have them check to make sure they all match. One company had them, then called me back and said they had to cancel the order because once they got them over to there store only two where Shelby version and the other two where the AR version.

Thanks, so with a 40ish mm offset, they would stick out about another .5 inch. Hmm that may rub a bit. I think i will wait till i cant find some 24's then.

Actually the other way around. The 40mm are tucked in. The 24mm are right to the edges of the fenders. I just put on the 24mm on and they stick out slightly with the 275's. with 255's the tire would actually tuck in under the fender. The rim itself will stick out a little but the sidewall would roll in. Remember the larger the offset number the further they will be tucked in.

I am taking pics of my car tonight and post them up in this thread so you can see the +24mm version.

Here are a couple other cars.

These are 40mm

And these are +24mm with 255's all the way around

And another example.

+40mm

+24mm offset. This had 265's in the front I think which makes the fronts stick out a little more.
+24mm
