I had a Mach 1 style hood stripe installed and although I liked the look I noticed the installer put it on off center and dry resulting in too many bubbles and 2 small creases. I have since taken it to another installer at another shop to have it redone. Has anyone done the center themselves or had a center hood stripe done? The first attempt going on wet resulted in some small creases and some scratches so they are doing it again. Both installers told me it is the hardest hood to do the center stripe because of the angles from side to side and the front of the hood angle downward.

Anyone who did it themselves or had it done did you get a perfect job?

The installer and I are thinking of them putting on 2 stripes with a 1/4 inch gap in the middle and either leaving it that way or putting in a filler stripe of the same color which would have the small overlap to get this job right and would only be noticed up close...

Any suggestions or problems you guys/girls have had with getting a center stripe installed on the hood?
