Is it bad looking if my wheels would be to stick out?
I am thinking about making the wheels stick out of about 1/2" front and back tell me what you think, be honest!!

I don't know about that front business, but the back might be hot. I was thinking of adding spacers myself.

Only if they're mud tires and and you put a lift kit on it.

It's your car. It only matters what you like. But since you asked, No, I wouldn't care for it.

Remember one thing, if they stick out in the front... the people that see your car will laugh and point and feel sorry to be your car. I would be one of them.

Stick out in the back is fine, just not the front.

In my opinion, it would look bad. Very bad. Even the back shouldn't stick out too much IMHO.

It'd remind me of one of those Geo Trackers with the crazy weird offset where the wheels stick half out of the fenders.

opinions-

I wouldnt do it.
getting the largest rubber under that wont rub is a challenge, but looks great.

feel the top lip of your rear wheelwell. one tire rub and that will bend. I think if it ever bends and breaks that seal its gonna trap water and wont be anyway to prevent it from rusting.

measure carefully, get adjustable panhard rod if needed to center it up, and fill'er up.

to me sticking out looks like a oops, same as lowering to the point wheelwell radius is not concentric to tire...but some folks like those looks too- whatever you like, its your ride

I think that sticking out a little is fine as long as there is the width on the inside as well. Be careful it's easy to go overboard.

Personally no I would not do it. You also increase the chance of more road debris getting thrown up on the side of the car. (mud, tar, etc)

Besides if I ever take mine overseas again they require the tires to stick under the car. On the autobahn if you have a blow out there can be pieces of the tire flying all over. I remember many people had their pimped out rides come over with the wheels sticking 4 inches or more outside the wheel wells. They would not license the vehicles until they put them back under.

After all that long winded post...it is still your car so you should do what you want.

I think it's just a matter of personal preference. I'm running 03/04 Cobra wheels which are 17x9.5 and 25/26mm offset - incorrect for my 05, but they sit exactly where I want them and my 275/40 Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval tires all the way around give it a nice mean stance. I have steeda sport springs which dropped the front 1 inch and the back 3/4 inch - that also helps with the stance.

I do have the urge to go with 18's every now and again, but I just love the way she sits too much to change it.

Pics...

forgot to add....I dont run into any problems with speed bumps and most parking space stopper-thingys

Machine - Man that car of yours looks pure sinister man!

I don't see anything wrong with running that offset wheel. Matter of fact - I will be doing the same thing by installing 4 17x9 SVT Mach-1 wheels on my car this spring with 255's on the front and 275's on the rear..

thanks guys...the 275's in front make the steering heavier and it tracks on uneven pavement more than normal, but the stance is too much to my liking for me to change it...

havent had an adverse issues at the track, though

Throws the front steering geometry off ... but most won't notice.

With the wheels hanging out, looks like someone walking down the street and their pants are three sizes too short.

The blk GT above looks fine, but its on the ragged edge

I"m not trying to hijack this thread but I'm really glad this subject came up. Let me tell you guys about my story and what I have been dealing with. When it came time to buy wheels it took me a really long time to find what I wanted. I finally came across them and found them used from a member on this board who will go un-named. They are 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear. I saw pictures of them on his car and he stated that they were the factory correct offset acording to the manufacturer. Well when I put them on I realized that the back stuck out at the top where the edge rounds over. I didn't really think of it at the time, but now I'm realizing this is going to be a major issue with lowering. He had the eibach pro line srpings and Steeda LCA relocation kits and said he never had any rubbing issues. I'm afraid of hitting a bump and bending my rear fenders. I'm thinking of buying a whole new set, but brand new these wheels are expensive, and I'm not to happy he failed to mention that they stick out. Here are some pics of his ride (sonic blue) and what they look like on mine (tungsten) not lowered. I wish I had some better picutres. What do you guys think???
