Although the bright machined rims will grow on you and don't look bad at all, I think the bullits look way better.

I voted for the bright machined finish.

However, if you're going to spend money on rims, you might as well upgrade to 18 or 19" stuff

Stick with bullits and then buy new rims later.

Bullitts all the way. For some reason I only like the machined wheels with the 'classy' combos, like windvail, redfire, or white with tan leather verts.

I have a set of 4 perfect 17" Bullitts and Pirelli tires (2500 miles) I'll sell for $500 plus shipping. No snow/ice/salt, I live in Charlotte, NC. PM me if interested.

Thanks,

Tom

+1

mine have a little less than 2K miles. Same deal.

Go with the Bullits. You know you will want to change them anyway and you can't sell the Machined ones for any more than the Bullits on down the road.
I think they look really good on a Mineral Grey car.

Fanblades were not one of the options.

By the way, the second picture of the Tungsten Grey Vert with the Bullitts is indeed mine.

The reason for the poll is that I had wanted machined wheels but when the car I ordered arrived it had the Bullitts.

Thanks for all of the votes...keep them coming!

I vote for bullets too.

OOPS: I mean bullitts the wheels, not the projectiles.

I vote bright machined- I just got tired of bullits- everywhere I look. I like the bright machined wheels. They were designed with the car and look awesome

Don't know where you are in southern california, but I have the bright machined wheels on my patio, I wanted bullits when I bought the car but all they had available were the bright machined or bling bling after market dealer marked up 20's.

I'd be willing to trade, although one of the tires is trash, has a bolt in the corner, unrepairable. They have like 2500 miles on them max.

At last check with 27 votes it was at 77% to stay with the Bullitts. I decided to stick with the Bullitts since everyone including my wife likes them better. I think they will have better resale down the road when I trade them in for the FR500 Wheels when everyone sheds those off of the new Shelbys.

Thanks for all of the votes!

Since my "ordered" car wasn't the one I actually got, I had the dealer switch out the brights to the bullits. I think they are far more in keeping with the retro look. And no I didn't pay for the brights... <chuckle>

I guess I'm in the minority, I just love the brights... The bullets are on so many cars... The brights are, well, bright! Makes the car stand out nicely. Usually I follow the crowd, but this time for some strange reason I love my machined brights!

Just curious, why does saleen.com have the bullets + tires for $375? Something I'm missing??

Every time a new Saleen is born, 4 bullitts with tires come off, and since Saleens previous sale price on these was $999 a set, and they were regularly trading on Ebay from other sellers for about $600, I'm betting they didn't sell many. Since Saleen obviously builds the cost of their new wheels and tires on the S-281 into their sticker price, it's not going to hurt them much to clearence these extra parts at a bargain price. I ordered a set the other day. Heck, the tires alone are worth more than $375...

BTW: I'm in the "stick with the bullitts" gang too

I voted for the bullits but I think that those new Carroll Shelby Wheels (CS series) look nice if, like another posted said, you are going to the trouble to change rims you might as well take a look at everything out there.
