WHEELS HELP!

Whats up TMS fam! Im about to pick up some wheels and im kind of stuck on what size to get and which ones. I don't run my car a lot but i do like to run my car when someone rolls up next to me (like 3 4 times a week at most) so I was debating on 18s or 20s. Ive heard that 18s look to small on s197 but im afraid 20 look to big.

And these are the wheels Im looking into. The boss 338 and Nascar wheels are only available in 20 but the bullits and cobra are are available in both.

My personal preference is for 18s. I'm just not into the real big wheels scene. I think that 18s go better with the old school styling of our cars.

THAT SAID, there are some dang nice stangs out there with 20 inch wheels. It's all a matter of personal taste I suppose.

Another thing to think about if you're running 3 or 4 times a week is the price of tires. 18s are cheaper than 20s if you're gonna be burning them up.

Of the choices you posted above, I'd pick the black cobras w/ polished lip, but again, thats just my personal preference.

I am running 18s but wish I would have went 20s but I don't 'run' my car at all. I like the black Foose wheels that you have shown.

There's so much more to it than just the size of the wheel. It's the combination of the wheel, the tire size, and the suspension. I run 20's on my car and love them. That said, a few of the guys on here have their cars set up w/ 18's and the right tires and suspension, and they look absolutelyfrikkintastic.

Edit: look in this thread. You'll see my car w/ 20's, but look at D'prived's w/ 18's. https://themustangsource.com/f691/le...t-pics-505743/

I think dished rims look smaller. I have 18" rims and the spokes run right up to the edge and they look big enough for me. If I had the same rims and they had a dished lip I think they would look a lot smaller.

Nice rims, that being said anything heavier than the 17's will cost you HP. Unless youre FI that is :-)

I think if your getting or have 20" rims then speed is not your main concern. Everyone who has a mustang loves the power but some forget that it is a sweet looking ride!!

Yea I thought about that but since its a weird wheel size the tires are more expensive than 20s one 18s
