Wheels from American Muscle?

Hey all,
looking for wheels for my 2006GT.

For those of you who have ordered wheels from American muscle (looking at the Chrome Deepdish Bullitt 18x9 & 18x10 in particular) - are you satisfied with the products? Are those wheels anything you would recommend?

They are reasonble in price (lower than many others), so I wondering if they might have flaws...

Thanks for any input you might have!

I have the DD chrome wheels from American Muscle. My only complaint is that the chrome finish does not take chrome polish very well. I've used several products, and they all end up being extremely hard to remove.

I now just mist them with a spray wax, and thatseems to work fine.

Can't say anything 'bout the Chrome DDs, but just yesterday I received my Anthracite DDs in 18x9 and 18x10. Delivered right in front of my door... Great customer service and the prices are very reasonable...
The wheels themselves arrived with no flaws and I just love the new look!

Ok,
so you would say the quality of the wheels seem good (or very good?) then? I guess for the price you pay...?

I guess and assume these wheels will fit without any additional spacers or steering stops on the 2005+ Mustangs, right?

I didn't get mine from AM but bought from TireRack.com and am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase. I didn't do staggared but the rim has a 2" lip. There American Racing rims(SHelby Edition)

Give them a try. Prices are within dollars of each other.

Wheels + Tires too??

I too have been considering a purchase some wheels from American Muscle. I am leaning more toward the chrome deep dish Mach 1 (Magnum 500 styled) wheels but they only offer them in 17x9 and I had hoped to step up to 18" wheels. I may just bite the bullet and get them until something else strikes my fancy...

The other question is it a good deal to do both wheels and tires from them? Free shipping on mounted and balanced tires and wheels is appealing even if the tires only last 20K or 30K miles... They don't have too great of selection on 17" tires for our ponies but even so...the price is fair.

Comments?

On the rear....with the 18x10.....do they stick out very much on the sides? Or are they fairly in line with the side of the car? Any pictures perhaps?

I am about ready to pull the trigger on a set of Bullit wheels in Anthracite, does anyone know if there is any difference in the quality or the finish between American Racing Wheels and the wheels offered by American
Muscle? They most likely are all made in China.

The GT500 wheels came w/ QC Inspection stickers saying Made In China...oh well. The price was right, they look great, and they haven't shown any signs of abnormal wear or stress cracking.

I have American Racing Black Deep Dish 18X9's... i love the look there the perfect wheels for me but the quality is very poor. Most if not all of my wheels have clear coat peeling.. looks like s*it, I hate it... at first i thought maybe it was something else so i bought a new rim and it did it again.. I've tried to contact them but i never get a respsonse.. figures..

I have American Muscle chrome DD bullits, 18x9 front and 18x10 rear, and love them. The place that mounted the tires said they were some of the finest wheels they had seen. I had a patch placed on a tire yesterday by another local and respected shop and again was complimented on the quality of the wheel.

Make sure you take them to a place that knows what they're doing. Even if you don't get the tires through tire rack, I'd look at their "approved" installers near you. Read the reviews etc...

good luck!

they are all made in the same factory. dont get ripped off by american racing, you can buy those caps and use them on the american muscle rims if you want.

Thanks, I was thinking they possibly were the same wheel.

I had an American Racing wheel in my hands but could
not find a Made in China sticker on it. Possibly they remove it and charge a 75-90 dollar premium each for the Shelby name and cap.
