wheels

So I'm trying to decide on the wheels I want and right now it's between the shelby razors which are 18x9 or some foose nitrous 18x10 (both black). Basically i have two questions, first with these widths what is the widest tires that I could stick on with stock height on the stang. The wider the better and honestly I'd love some 325's if possible but I'm doubting that will work. I don't want this to have any rubbing problems or any problems cornering/handling so need advice. My second question is whether or not I should even do the foose because I am currently considering badging this as a shelby. I realize I'm not building an exact cs8 or buying a gt500 but all the componets of my car (minus the wheels and a possible gt350 look alike scoop) will be componets offered in shelby mustangs of today. I've always wanted to own a shelby but the price just didn't work for me so I am attempting to create a personalized kit version. (seems like an awesome idea) Do you think if I went with the foose (which are wider and I like a little more) this would compromise my idea of creating this unique shelby kit? ... And on that note is that idea retarded and people will simply think I'm posing as a gt500...? Thanks!

I think if you like the foose wheels better you should get those. I personally like the nitrous as well, but will have to save for quite a bit longer before I can afford them. It's your car and your idea of a Shelby, so make it your own the way you want, in my opinion.

I'd go with the Razors. While I'm not a fan of black wheels, these do look really sick on some cars. In regards to the rear size, a 325 wheel is impossible without tubbing out the rear somehow. To give you an example, the Ford GT's rear tires are 315s. Post pics once you get them.

so if I got the shelby wheels which are 18x9 whats the largest I could safely put on the rear without any problems? 305's? And if so what should I then put on the front to keep the balance so that it doesn't have any handling issues.

Here is a reference sheet from BFG.Not all tires companies make their tires exactly the same demesions but they are very close.Just make sure you keep your overall diameter of the tire near the same as stock or you may have a speedo a few mph off the mark. Also make sure the offset of the wheel doesn't protrude outside the wheel well or you have some tire rubbing issues.
