Can anyone who got their '05 Mustang in, and perhaps has an '04 or a buddy with an '04, please confirm whether or not the center caps from the '04 wheels fit the '05 wheels? I have my '05, and got the bullitt wheels. Love the wheels, but want the "bullitt" center caps instead of the Ford logo caps. The guy in the parts department at my dealer said I can order the '05 center caps in the accessories book, but they wouldn't be in until the first of the year. So, I'd like to find out if the caps from '04 fit the '05 wheels.

pretty much every ford uses the same size center cap, you can use explorer ones on a mustang if you want. Only the concepts wont work because they have hub caps. I thought the only "BULLITT" ones were stickers

That stinks. I am getting the machine wheels for my GT. I was hoping to switch out the "Ford" center cap for a pony cap.

Or am I reading that wrong? Will they make a Pony center piece for the machine 17" wheels

In case anyone is interested, the 2004 running pony "bullitt" center caps will fit the '05 bullitt wheels. But, they stick out a bit... they aren't flush. So, I got them anyway (couldn't wait until the beginning of next year when my dealer said I could order, and I got the '04 ones for a steal- $30 for the set) and then I ordered some two and a half inch diameter o-rings and they fit perfectly in a small groove that the center cap creates between the cap and wheel. I bought some extra, in case they fell off. But I have had them on for a couple weeks now and have driven as fast as a hundred with them on, and not one came off. Looks great too. I will post a pic, but it's hard to see the o-ring. It looks like it's part of the cap though.
