WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS MOD?

I always thought that the one thing they should have put on the S197 was some chrome
around the grill so I added it myself. Here are some before & after pics. Let me know what
you think.

Been there, done that. Had it on, it was OK, ended up not liking it and took it off.

So, what do I think of it? I borderline like it, but borderline like it wasn't enough for me to have it on my car.

I like it. It's one of those mods that can easily be removed it you decide later on that you don't like it.

Looks good!!

Chrome driving light bezels might make the trim blend in.

The chrome looks good on black. Gives a little definition.

Ive had it on mine for over 3 years now...I changed the bumper last year, did find the trim rubbed thru the paint- the way the grille fits it might do the same even without it...I still like the little bit of chrome, so its rubbing the paint on another bumper now
expect to replace it in 2 years, theres a clear coating that will begin to crack/peel...would be nice if there was someone making a bullitt like trim ring for the standard GT grille- but with the fogs, think it needs thinner than the bullitt ring...if I wasnt so cheep, I'd probably just lose the fogs and go with the bullitt grille

I've had it on my car for several years , so of course I like it. I've had to replace it once already , but I got a roll that's big enough to do several times so it's not a big deal ...

Interesting - and going a few steps further, I have to wonder what the S197 would look like with a retro style front / rear chrome bumper.

Wow - I uh, well, I'm not sure what to think of it. I like it. But I don't. Sort of like a train wreck. I can't look away. Maybe I am so used to seeing cars without chrome that it looks funny. Good find though.

Retro works all the way up to the chrome bumpers and in fact when I get my classic there is a good chance they'll be painted body color.

Yes, great modification. Without it, the grill looks very cheap. The Parnelli Jones Edition Mustang was what sold me on the Mustang needing this mod.

IMO it makes the grille look too busy and cluttered. I've always been in the "less is more" camp though.
