What do you guys think about the Alum. Fuel Doors ? ? ? ?
What do you guys think about the Alum. Fuel Doors ? ? ? ?
I was thinking if I should do a Silver horse racing fuel door on
my grabber orange? I have the Silver horse racing Louvers going
on sunday.
If I was to do a fuel door I would maybe go with the polished to
go with the wheels I think the chrome would maybe be to much
and the black would stand out to much.
Or do you guys think it looks better without adding one?

On this body style, I don't like them. Simply stated, we already have a fake cap on the rear which is supposed to look like a fuel door. So why would you want to take the "real" fuel door and make it stick out? It seems to me that you'd want to hide it more than anything else so the fake one on the rear "appears" to be the real fuel door....

It looks good on the PJ Saleen since the rear simulated gas cap is removed.

Have to agree here, I'd either go with the fuel door and a total blackout panel
Or
Don't go with the fuel door because two fuel doors looks...well dumb. It isn't a diesel truck after all...
BTW, Love your wheels!

If you are looking for a fuel door for an S192 (which it looks like you are) then Silver Horse Racing is the one to get. If you have an SN95 - check out the ones at http://www.FuelDoors.com - excellent doors. Have one on my Mach1.

I've wondered about this same thing for my own car...... leave it stock, or go with a polished chrome version to match my wheels??
I'm torn.... I guess if I ever have the money just laying around maybe I'll try it or if I see a Vista Blue with chrome wheels and fuel door maybe it'd help make up my mind.

Or of course make it match with one of our rear medallion replacements
Or put a honeycomb panel on along with a black anodized rear medallion to black out the whole back area!
On Grabber Orange, I was always leaning towards the black anodized door, but Saleen wanted brushed finish for the PJ run, so that's what we made for them. I thought black anodized with flat black stripes (or even gloss black) would've been a cool layout. Our new satin doors will be a media blast finish similar to our interior products, and that may look really nice on the G.O. as well - I don't know if polished or chrome would work as good there, but of course, it's all personal taste, and that's why we make four different finishes - so you can decide.
HTH... just offering choices

My Polished Aluminum Pics
I got mine from Steeda but it's the same item. The plan is to remove the fake GT gas cap in the rear after I do a spoiler delete and have painted stripes put on.
When I put the polished aluminum door on I also did a Stant locking gas cap which is a must IMO. I feel much more secure knowing some hater can't easily put something down the fuel filler tube. Our gas tanks are sitting ducks when stock. Even a remote fuel door would be a step in the right direction.
