It appears to really finish off that piece of bumper that has always looked a little odd. How does that make the rear look in comparison to the GT500?

Very similar, but remember that the area this fits in is not as big as it is on the GT500. Its smaller but it does the trick!

The one that MustanGuy installed is the same as the one sold at Stage 3 Motorsports and shelbyaccessories.com . It is not however the same piece as shown at partscheap. The partscheap model does not have the lip that rolls over the indent edge that gives MustangGuy's rear diffuser a larger appearance.

Just an observation.

What he said! The one that I have is much better styled. It fills the space better and the diffuser fins align with the bumper, not drop below it as the one at Partscheap.

Can you take a few pics from further away? Fit looks good. I want to see how it looks proportionally, mostly from a 3/4 angle, but also directly from the back. This would match my Legend Chin from SHR very nicely.

Good catch on that Bob , I didn't even notice they were different. Now that you say it the color is also different , the partscheap model appears to be grey instead of black. I'm glad I ordered the same one as MustangGuy , I only ordered it since it was cheaper with the free shipping , which by the way was quick since I ordered it Thursday and received it Monday and that's from California to Florida.

I plan to install it this weekend and I'll take pictures too. MustangGuy the fit looks tight , did you just use the tape ? I got some flat head screws and I'm going to epoxy them to the back side and drill some holes in the fascia so I can bolt it on too. Man that does look good on your car , I'm really glad I got it now ...

Steve, It is completely outlined with double stick tape and it is lightweight and fits very well and there is no stress on this piece. Clean the area to be taped to remove all wax. It comes with the promoter which I did not use. I do not think screws would be necessary. Once I installed it, I tried pulling on it and believe me it adheres solidly!

Steve , I'll have to decide then ... At first I stopped by my body shop and he said like you did that the piece fit well and the tape looked like it would hold it just fine. But , if I wanted to I could get some window urethane and put a bead next to the tape , which is what they do in most cases when they install something like it. I picked some up , but then got to thinking about the screws. I planned on drilling a couple of holes in the fascia and glue some flat head screws on the piece so they go through the holes. I figured the holes would be on the flat section of the fascia so you couldn't see them if you ever loose/remove the piece. I figured the screws would pull the piece nice and tight against the fascia , but after looking at your picture it doesn't look like it needs it ...

If it's the red-backed 3M tape, there's no reason to use anything else. I've got far heavier parts held on by that stuff. If it's not the red-backed 3M tape, I would remove the tape it comes with, and switch to that. There's no reason to drill holes. Just use the tape. It'll stay on as long as you want, but you will have the ability to remove it if needed.

I ordered the one from partscheap.com without knowing Stage 3 had one that looked even better. So, I've now ordered one from Stage 3 ( you're right it does look nicer ) and will return the partscheap one when it arrives. Anxious for it to come, as I really need a small project for the car....something to distract me from this winter weather and chase away a bit of cabin fever!

Sabre, ours is the same as the one at Stage 3. They just don't disclose who makes it. Which is actually a violation of the DG Custom Auto dealer policy.

I certainly won't dispute this, as I don't have either one of them yet. I will say that there is certainly a difference in the look of the product, from the photo on each respective website. If they are both exactly the same when I have them in hand, then I'll be back here and posting that you were indeed correct.....until then, I'm a bit skeptical.

That's what I thought but I wasn't very sure. I thought it was just me.

You were exactly right....I have both of them now and the partscheap diffuser and the Stage 3 diffuser are exactly alike....both from DG and they both have the lip that is shown in the Stage 3 website photo. Still not sure why they looked so different in the photos from the websites.

Steve, when you get yours on, please post a pic as well. I would like to see the "yellow" impression.

Thanks!
