new pictures
made some adjustments and it fits perfect. i was my fault in the first place!!!

Yes, it is aligned better now. Still is short on top almost one inch and cannot wrap the other three edges like paint. My $.02 is that if something is worth doing, its worth doing right!

It does look good. The only problem I have with it is the fact that it is magnetic. After 9/11 you saw a ton of vehicles with magnetic flags on them. Over a period of time the magnet will loose some strength and start to lift while driving. This is caused by the turbulence at the rear of the vehicle. When it lifts dirt is trapped under it and will REALLY tear up the finish. As more and more dirt gets behind it the more it starts to come off and the worse it gets. I am speaking from experience.

The thing is to clean it weekly like I do my car. And the rear of the car has a vucuum effect. And if you really think about it, it is only a $40 item. It's still cheaper to buy another than to buy one that's $150.00 then $75.00 for paint. IMO it's better than putting on the vinyl one and then after a couple of rock chips you have to scrape it off anyway. Speaking from experience ...of course. It's cheap, if I had the rear of my car painted I might not like it after time, I can change my mind, if I feel like blackout one day just put it on and if not just slip it off. No glue, no mess, No fuss. (I think I just got my slogan)

Yeah, the removable option is what I like the most.
As for the dirt getting behind there, even if it did, this is something that, IMO, should be removed whenever you wash the car. At the same time, you clean the magnet, then reapply. Seems like common sense to me.

I still don't like the gap it leaves at the top though. That's the ONE thing that has caused me not to buy it yet.

ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER HERE! I have this and love it

Scott is great to deal with, stands behind his product and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. The fit around the rear emblem is FLAWLESS.. no paint showing what-so-ever and has a nice tight fit. I recently got together with several other TMS members and received many compliments on it, from them and from complete strangers.

Money well spent! www.mustangblackout.com

I think that it looks fine, especially for such an inexpensive mod. However, be extremely careful that both the back of the magnet and the car are abosolutely free from any dirt/sand ANYTHING anytime you install it. Otherwise you will definitley end up with scratched paint.

I am guessing it is made out of a product called "All mag"..there are other names...you can buy it in a roll 24" wide and either 50 or 100 foot lenghts. Imagine how many $40 parts come out of a roll and I havent bought any in a few years but last time I did it wasnt that much money a roll...maybe $150. It is available in other colors as well. try a sign supply place for those interested.

I can almost guarantee that a sign shop will charge more than that for this blackout. Who is going to give them the template. Are they going to spend time in back of the car to get a perfect fit? Not that I think mine is the best but we all know that nobody does anything for $40 anymore. Especially if they have to walk to your car. I spent hours trying to pefect it, not minutes. Just to let you know They are 32" long by 8 3/8 wide so my manufacturer only gets 2 per 24" thats alot of waste. Plus I had a master die made an they are die cut , not cut by hand. I just find it funny how someone who comes up with a good idea and tries to better himself is shot down because someone thinks they have a better idea of how to get it cheaper or maybe that someone is trying to make a buck and that the other person didn't think of the product first. Just a thought.

Looks good. I had mine painted so I'm stuck with it unless I'm willing to pay again to revert back to body color. IMO, the black-out does break up the monochrome appearance of the car.

I have been debating on getting one of the blackout panels. I think the Tungstens and Silvers especially benefit from the look they provide.

I really like the idea of it being removable. I am most likely going to order this soon.

Scott, do you think the Avery/3m vinyl would stick to this? I'm thinking about doing the rear in blue, but I like the idea of quickly changing my mind!
