What Company has "REAL" Louvered louvers?
Haven't we gone down this road before Rene? MRT and street scene have the openings. I remember in another post you had that we discussed this because you ordered the 3D Carbon ones that were not slotted.

I really want these but I dont want Fake ones? The louvers must be real slits in the covers.
Who has these? What options are there? Pics? Anyone?
Thanks :worship:

So.....like our rides.....all good things come to those who wait
Mark.
I also have my louvers pre-ordered from MRT. Has anyone thought about where they are going to get their louvers painted once received? Would an authorized Ford body shop be safest to ensure a perfect paint match; or could any reputable body shop probably do as good a job? Anyone have any idea on what to expect to pay to have a pair of 1/4 window louvers painted?
Roush louvres look real good till you get up close and see the rivets holding them on. MRT's attachments are hidden and they can be removed.I would look for the painting charge to be about $60 for both. That is for a good quality paint job that will match up perfectly.
When MRT say they are removable...what does thismean exactually? Arnt they put on with 3M tape like all the others?
And if they are removable, should we worry about them being stolen? Just asking...............those who have ordered please let m eknow. Thanks

Rene, you need a
There is tons of info in the forum already on the MRT louvers. They are held on with hinges using 3m tape. There is a hex screw that when you remove it allows you to flip them up to clean the window.

They are most likely stuck on with 3M tape... I think when they say removable, they just mean not permanent as in they bolt/weld/mold on. And I'm sure if someone wanted to take them off your car and steal them, they could. But same goes for your wheels/tires, badges, exhaust, etc. Heck, someone could probably take off your rear bumper without setting off the alarm. If you live in a high-crime area, you just have to weigh your options.
Adrenalin..sorry man...........I have looked , but I never saw the MRT ones before.............The web page doesnt give too much info either......or pics. I just want to make sure before I pre order.
Thanks man..............my bad for a repeat question..................I am blonde you know!!!! Give me a break

There are plenty on here that have ordered the MRT louvers. My guess is within the next month or so, we will see a few member's cars with painted MRT louvers installed on their cars. I am waiting until August to get mine (birthday present) so I am sure I'll be able to check out examples of some louvers before I order.
