What color are the rear turn signals? In most of the pictures I have seen they look red but in a picture i just saw the look like the might be yellow. My mustang should be at port here in the UK on the 21st but i have to convert the lights to meet UK standards. UK standards require yellow turn signals in the rear. If somebody could take pictures of there rear lights (with the lights on) it might really help.

what about the lower section of the lights that is even with the reverse lights. is that just a yellow relective section or is that a light? if that is a yellow light i can just rewire. i saw a picture on ebay that showed that lower section reflecting yellow. it might be hazards or something like that. anyway pictures with the lights on might really help.

 

They are red. Sometimes in a picture the flash is so great that they look yellow but they are not. They are red. Red, red, red.

Just wondering, but is there an actual reason why Ford has only 2 of the 3 rear lights turn on when braking and turning? Does it have to do with later mods? It wouldnt make make sense to me to put something on the car that isnt needed. Just a thought that has probably been discussed to dead somewhere I'm sure. Thanks

 

Also, along those lines, why would they put yellow lights on the car if they aren't used? Mods after the sale also?

 

I don't know for sure, but it looks like there is no lights on, it's probably just a reflection from the flash. Probably just has a reflector built into the lower part of the tail lights & thats showing up in the pic..

 

well if they are in fact yellow/amber then you can just install a light behind them and make a clean/easy conversion to european lighting standards. so far everone says they are red. if they are red i will have to put yellow bulbs in my reverse lights and convert them to the turnsignals but then i don't have reverse lights. i'm trying to get all the details of the light conversion worked out before my car gets here next week so i can tell the guy doing the conversion. unfortunately they have to convert the lights before i can pickup my car otherwise i would just do it myself.

i looked at my friends 03 and it has a lower section like that. that section is red on his but it made so you can install a light in it. you would have to cut a hole to fit a light in but it's difenately shaped to hold a light.
