Now that sounds like a great idea!!!!!!
Going with yellow. I just talked to the paint guy.
It was an honest question. Black does flow with the car well.....but besides that, the yellow makes it blend better and look more retro like the old shelby louvers.
Thanks everyone!!

They are awesome Mike, after carefully adjusting them, the fit is great. I like the squared off look MUCH better then the Gen1 that were rounded.
Much thicker then the ROUSH louvers, making them more sterdy. The ROUSH ones were almost a bit flimsy on the open part of the louvers. I did like those too, just a bit to aggressive and big for me.
I am taking my car to the painter tomarrow and leaving it there, so he match the color.
Oh and Mike, he is only charging me $50 to paint TOTAL ( his costs for mixing the color) , no prep charge or labor charge. We use him for our vehicles at work, so he said I earned some "bonus points"...... right on!!
Should have them back in a few days, he is preping them tonight, pre-baking them to get rid of all the surface dirt, etc, primer, bake, color, bake, and clear coat, bake.
I will have to ask him about black on the inside....why not yellow?
I will be sure to post pics when installed.
YELLOW IT IS!!!!!!!!!! I am no ricer...............

Glad to hear you like them. I havent seen the Roush ones off the car so I cant comment on their quality. ( besides, that would be bashing a competitor!) Id do them flat or satin black on the inside only because of glare. If you do the inside in yellow, you might get some glare off of them. Just my opinion. Be sure to post pictures!
I voted for black because they will work nicely with the stripes. THe yellow will blend into the car, but I think the black will look really nice.
Whatever you decide ... can't you find black ones to hold up to the car so you can see it?
You're going to forget about the one you didn't get and love the one you do.
Enjoy them

). When you look back out the 1/4 windows once they are on, you want your eyes to focus directly on what's outside showing through the openings in the louver, which will be basically be white on black... big contrast. If you have them yellow, and you turn around to look out of them, good luck trying to focus on what's in those little slits with all that yellow.
