Just Photoshopped some original 67 (I think) mirrors onto VegasJay's most awesome ride... I hate the big ugly mirrors and would love to put blanking plates on the triangle and then put old-school mirrors on the doors themselves. Too much?

Might go with a more stock looking Mustang, but not that one.

I'd like to see some modern version of a bullet mirror done for this gen.

I'll second that motion. That particular car actually benefits from the larger mirrors giving a bit of visual balance with the large hood/cowl imho. It would prolly work better on a car closer to factory trim, but even there, I actually quite like the large mirrors

I suppose they should be larger, but the combination of cheap plastic and the squarishness of the mirror unbalances the curves of the body and leaves me kinda cold.

I would like to see some mirror options ...I don't dislike the stock ones but a bit smaller would be good. Photo chop away Scotty! It's not a bad start at all.

To be honest, I don't notice they're big until I'm in another car and can't see anything. :P

I was unsure of geting a new vert since the previous generation had such bad blind spots. After driving one though, with the expansive back window and big mirrors, those concerns disappeared.

I think body colored, squarish "bullets" might look good on the 05+.

The ones in the chop might look better if they were a little bigger (more in proportion to the car) and mounted a little higher. Maybe mounted to the black plastic "triangle".

Looks great. The mirrors looks like he did them last and ran out of money. They just do not go with the car.

^ Wonder if the sidepipes are functional -- it looks cool.

Love the hood, splitter, color (what is it?) and stripes.

But, man, those side scoops have GOT to go, in favor of something actually designed for the car (there are many options out now).

Why do you say they started with a V6? The V-6 bumper has one cut-out, while the GT has two. But, this car has none. They obviously filled both exhaust cut-outs on the bumper. I'm sure they started with a GT. Afterall, it has a GT front bumper on it.

By golly, I think you're right! Somehow looks different in the other thread - paint looks darker. Anyway, for everyone else, there are several more pictures, from different angles, of the car above, in that thread.

Good call, Acadian. I'm stupid.

No, it fooled me for a sec... because the mirrors in the link you posted look darker. Almost painted. I agree though that these are too small. Unfortunately though I was planning on eventually putting factory Shelby mirrors on my stang (after taking the stock mirrors off and replacing them with a traingular plastic piece), but I believe the ones on this car ARE the factory mirrors and are just too small. So, hopefully someone will make a "rotunda" style mirror to fit the '05. I'd prefer it attached to the side of the door like the original Shelby's... but that would take fabricating a traingular flat piece to go where the stock mirrors went. So, having a mirror that attaches to that, or replaces that, would work just as well.

can you please post pics of the exhaust and how it runs under the car, I am very curious as to how you made it all fit, and hows the actuall performance with them, did the bends do much to it plus or minus? inquiring minds want to know.

If someone can fill it the specific details of this car regarding the exhaust, my speculation can be ignored.

In the meantime I have seen setups where you have mufflers in basically the same position as stock, but the exhaust pipe comes out the front of the muffler toward the front of the car, then bends back to exit at the side - yes, you get a steep bend.

Don't know if that's what was done here.
