V6 2005 Front Bumper

After 2.5 years and 36K miles with no door dings or other dents I rearended a Hyundai SUV on the way to work this morning. Not a hard hit. No damage to his vehicle but my front bumper is punctured and scraped. Has anyone had this experience and found a source for V6 front bumpers? How much do they usually run? This will be out of my pocket -- do not want higher insurance rates. I have a windveil blue Mustang. Before I take it to a body shop I wondered if our forum members might suggest some options.
Thanks.

I have a 2005 Mineral Grey V6 bumper sitting in my basement right now. I know its not the right color but Ill let it go for cheap if your interested. Other than than that I dont know of any places that usually sell V6 takeoff parts, maybe someone on here has a windveil blue one that they want to sell. Check the for sale section and see what comes up.

try newtakeoff.com I got a Satin Silver GT rear bumper for my 2005 and just put it on last week. The color matched great, and it cost like 260. I don't know what a front bumper would cost off hand, but you could save a bit of cash by doing it yourself if you're handy at all. I'm not but I made a project out of the rear bumper. You'll need a pop rivet gun.

Get a GT bumper on that Pony. A chance to step up here and under your deductible for sure.

Brandon,
I agree getting a GT takeoff sounds like a good idea. Do you know if the GT will fit the V6 with no modifications (other than I know the foglights would not work without mods)?

Dude,

Give me a call. I'll PM my number.

I have two front bumpers to choose from:

1) Sonic Blue V6 (sorry, not Vista Blue) with both grilles, or
2) Torch Red GT with both grilles and fog lights.

To install a GT bumper on a V6, you'll need both front inner fenderwell covers. I do not have these.

I'm in Tucson. Hopefully you are too. Give me a call and come out and take a look at both. I'll sell either for a price you cannot refuse! I'll even help you with the removal / install. It's really easy.

Willie!

what do you mean that you need the inner fenderwell covers? I have a xenon GT front and I didn't have to change anything but the fascia and of course the grill!!!!!!!! I cant see the factory GT fascia mounting any different.

The two mounting positions on the V6 inner covers are different from the GT's. I know for fact because I replaced my wife's V6 front bumper with a GT and the V6 covers are completely different. You might be able to make them work but because I had a pair of GT covers, I didn't even try.

GT Bumper Install on V6

With a lot of help from a fellow TMS member (Willie: you the man) my damaged V6 front bumper has been replaced with a GT front bumper.

Willie had this Torch Red one after upgrading his GT and had it repainted windveil blue.

$200 and 3 days. It was a shop in Tucson that Willie had work done at previously.

very nice looking...and cool how a fellow member (willie) helped you out...

as the V6 doesn't come with fog lights...is the wiring hookup's for the GT fogs there by default? (same wiring used in V6 pony packages?)
